I purchased these for my office. I was concerned that they would not produce enough bass, but my concerns have been assuaged. Bass is robust, some may find it a bit forward. However, after having broken them in, I do not find it to be muddy or overbearing on the midrange and highs. They sound balanced. As well they maintain detail at low volumes, at which I often have to play them. My coworkers are apparently not big My Bloody Valentine fans.

Pros: balance and detail

Cons: none of note

A Little Too Clean

Very accurate and clean but also sterile to my ears. I guess I like a little distortion. Don't know if that tweeter below the cone has anything to do with it. I have these in a small bedroom, might do better in a larger area. These are my stereo speakers. They may also do better as part of a home theater system. Tough review to write. Good speakers but not not my kind of sound.

Pros: Good sensitivity, can be paired with low power amps. Magnetic faceplate. Very clean sound.

Cons: A bit sterile to my ear.

Bought these to go in my new RV. First bought then returned a pair of KEF LS-X's as they won't work with out a wireless setup which I don't have "in the wilderness". Also tried a pair of Vanatoo Zeros but they didn't "let enough music thru". Maybe should have auditioned the new Ones. The P5's do everything I could hope for - powered from a Cocktail Audio X14. Great tonality; imaging and (within reason) dynamics. Attacks and decays are spot on. Just got a set of mounting brackets so I can put them in the space above the cab. Plan to use them back home in the bedroom system once winter strikes! PSB - you have a winner here!

3D and revealing

I think these speakers are pretty special. They image very well and create a 3D soundstage. I am hearing nuances in the recording more easily than with my other speaker. Sound is more forward than some speakers. Bass is very dependent upon room placement and is fine. Unfortunately I am returning them as I find them irritating for my ears (just my "bad" right ear actually). This is very personal and my wife really likes these.

Pros: 3 dimensional imaging, detailed and nuanced sound, clear at low volume

Cons: Too aggressive/forward for me

Happy camper!

Very satisfied with the product. The sound is very clear, vocal and highs cymbals and high hats are audible. Heard some instruments and backgrounds that weren't from my old speakers. Stage sound is great, have enough bass sound. Excellent bookshelf speakers. Very happy with them and will highly recommend to friends!

Pros: Big sound from small speakers. Two thumbs up. Not really a power hungry even though the sensitivity is below 90 dB.

Cons: Nothing for bookshelf size!
