About the Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker

Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your speakers deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches.

Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches.

The BB692W wedge enclosures are a great alternative if you can't install your 6"x9"s in the factory speaker openings in your car or truck. Each enclosure holds a single 6"x9" speaker and offers an internal volume of 0.29 cubic feet.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Features

Materials: The Sound Ordnance BB692-W Bass Bunker is two unloaded, wedge-style sealed enclosures, each holding one 6x9 speaker. It is constructed of 3/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), covered in black carpet.

Terminals: Each enclosure has a pair of spring-post speaker terminals mounted in the rear panel. The spring terminals will accept bare wire up to 10 gauge, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, each set of terminals has an attached 18" length of speaker wire for connecting the subwoofer.

I am installing this in a 1978 Ford Bronco - there is no where to place the rear speaker. I am already using one of these boxes for the subwoofer. This allows me to put the speaker on the tailgate for outdoor music. [ Chet  Jan 11, 2019 ]
A
I needed an enclosure for the 6x9s in the back of my k5 blazer that I can remove when needed. [ Bob  Sep 26, 2018 ]
A
I bought them to fit into the cab corners of my square body Chevy truck. Being tapered from front to back, they should slide into the recess nicely. I'll let you know how they fit! [ James  Sep 14, 2018 ]

A
Of all the other 6x9 enclosures I looked at(about 7of them), these seemed like they were the best size-wise and quality-wise. And going with Crutchfield as the seller... it's hard to lose. [ GoderajGWAR  Apr 22, 2018 ]
A
I chose this because my vehicle will not accommodate 6x9 speakers. I'm doing another custom job and I was just simply too lazy to build a box and cut an oval hole; I like to cut the round ones and sometimes square (Kicker is great...LOL!). [ Joseph  Mar 02, 2018 ]
A
To enclose my 6 by 9 speakers [ Jonn  Oct 08, 2017 ]
