About the Cambridge Audio Minx Min 10
The sound of Cambridge Audio
The sound of Cambridge Audio
Until now, you had to make a choice between great sound from relatively large speakers or mini speakers that fail to stir your soul when the music starts. But thanks to Cambridge Audio's Minx Min 10, you can now experience sound that's both powerful and refined, from remarkably small speakers that measure just 3" cubed. Designed for Hi-Fi sound on a low-fi budget, the Minx Min 10 will instantly fill your living space with a tonal presence that has to be heard to be believed. Whether you're looking to maximize your music or movie experience or add depth to your favorite TV shows and sports events, the Minx Min 10 is waiting to show you what you've been missing.
Engineered with passion
The Minx Min 10 was carefully designed and tested at Cambridge Audio's London facility by a team fueled with a passion for incredible sound. The Min 10 rewrites the rulebook of what's possible from miniature speakers thanks to BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) technology. BMR drivers use a flat speaker surface that combines the traditional "pistonic" movement of speaker cones with a "bending-wave" movement to create sound. It's what allows the Minx Min 10 to cover a much wider frequency range than comparably sized speakers. You'll also experience a much broader sound dispersion across your entire room, for the most enveloping sound imaginable. Plus, the compact, acoustically-damped cabinet offers extreme rigidity, so you hear pure, clean sound no matter how intense your movies get.
Speakers that fit your lifestyle
Quite naturally, you want your speakers to fit into your home, rather than having to design your living space around your system. That's why the compact Minx Min 10 satellites can be mounted to your wall, placed on stands, or positioned on a tabletop using optional hardware. You can mix and match between colors, or go for the step-up Minx Min 20 models in the front of your room with Minx Min 10s in the back. Just be sure to add a Cambridge Audio powered subwoofer to get full bass impact with your action flicks and video games.

Cambridge Audio Minx Min 10 reviews
These little ( tiny ) speakers by Cambridge Audio are superb! The build quality is your first clue that you're holding a product whose company cares about quality. The weight, the luxurious black finish and the quality of the connecting posts are just a few of the examples of this company's commitment to their caring about producing quality products. Be it their thousand dollar receivers, home systems, or $79.00 Minx's, the quality in build is evident. The Minx Min 10's that I purchased are so beautiful that it's a shame to try and " conceal " them so that they're not a visible part of your surround system. But due to the wife's wishes, they can be easily hidden from plain view. But their sound cannot! You just can't imagine the sound that these tiny speakers produce without hearing them for yourself! These beauties add the missing element ( along with a quality center speaker ) that our home system lacked. For the price, you cannot go wrong with these speakers. I highly recommend them as necessary part of a budget surround home theater system. Michael K.
Pros: Great Sound from quality speakers from a company, Cambridge Audio, ( which I just recently heard of ) who obviously cares about giving the customer the best audio products that money can buy. I will certainly check out their other products as I expand and improve my home theater system.

Overview: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker provides accuracy, detail, and realism from a compact speaker which is only 3.125" square. Its wide dispersion capabilities make it easy to integrate into any room. The Minx satellite speaker offers table-top, speaker-stand, or wall-mounting solutions. The Cambridge Audio Minx is designed to be mated with your choice of Cambridge Audio Minx Subwoofer (779X200W, 779X300W, 779X500W; sold separately).
BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) Technology: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker features a single 2.25" BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) driver. The Cambridge Audio BMR driver utilizes patented 'bending wave' principles normally seen in advanced flat-panel speakers, combined with piston-movement (backwards and forwards) like in a traditional speaker design. This type of design provides the Minx satellite speaker with a much wider frequency response and deeper and more powerful bass frequencies, plus incredibly spacious sound. The BMR driver design also adds value by delivering a much broader sound dispersion across the entire room, avoiding the typical 'sweet spot' pitfall, for a more enveloping sound.
Rubber Surround: The 2.25" BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) driver employs a rubber surround for added durability and excursion.
Neodymium Magnets: The BMR driver utilizes ultra-compact push-pull neodymium magnets for greater efficiency.
Frequency Response: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker features a 140Hz to 20,000Hz frequency range.
Power Handling: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker can handle 15 to 50 watts (RMS).
Compact Enclosure: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker features a 3.125" square enclosure.
Acoustic Suspension: The Minx MIN10 satellite speaker features an acoustic suspension (sealed) enclosure for greater detail and accuracy.
Acoustically Damped Cabinet: The Minx MIN10 satellite speaker employs an acoustically damped thermo-polymer and extruded aluminum cabinet to prevent distortion caused by resonance and vibration.
Removable Grille: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 includes a detachable cloth grille.
High-Gloss Finish: The Minx MIN10 is available in a high-gloss black (with black cloth grille) or high-gloss white finish (with silver cloth grille). The black and white high-gloss lacquers are finished to the highest standard using paint application techniques developed by premium automotive manufactures. The black and white lacquer finishes are hard to scratch and easy to clean.
Binding Posts: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker is equipped with a pair of binding post terminals. The binding post terminals will accept bare-wire, pin-connectors, and spade-connectors. The terminals are color-coded (black/red) to distinguish between positive and negative.
Banana Plugs: The satellite speaker's binding post terminals can be removed to allow use of banana plugs (single only). The binding post terminals simply pull out of the back of the speaker, which allows access to banana connector inputs.
Placement: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker can be placed above, below, or beside your flat-panel TV screen. The speaker should be angled toward the listener, if possible.
Mounting: The Cambridge Audio Minx MIN10 satellite speaker can be table-top mounted, wall mounted, or placed on a floor-standing speaker stand.
- Table-Top Mount: The Minx MIN10 satellite speaker comes with four self-adhesive rubber feet to simply place the speaker securely on a table or shelf. There is also an optional Minx Table-Top Stand (779MTSA, sold separately) available, which allows placement on a desk, table, or shelf.
- Wall Mount: The Minx MIN10 features a rear-mounted 6mm threaded insert which allows you to wall-mount the speaker using the included keyhole-slot adapter, the Cambridge Audio Minx Wall Bracket (779MPWM, sold separately), or other optional wall-mount bracket (sold separately).
- Speaker Stand: The 6mm threaded insert on the back of the satellite speaker can be used to attach the speaker to the Cambridge Audio Minx Floor Stands (779MFSB, sold separately).
