About the Mohu Crescent
Top performance from a compact antenna
Top performance from a compact antenna
The Crescent is Mohu's top-performing outdoor antenna. With its compact design, the Crescent can easily be installed in an attic. And for mounting on a rooftop or exterior wall, its small footprint makes it a more visually appealing (and HOA-friendly) alternative to large long-range antennas.
The Crescent can receive free over-the-air TV broadcasts from stations in the UHF and high-band VHF ranges (channels 7-51). It pulls in signals from multiple directions, so you don't have to move it or aim it to pick up signals from different TV towers. With a range of up to 75 miles, the Crescent provides crystal-clear picture quality for signals that are simply too weak for lesser antennas to grab.
Mohu's First Stage™ amplifier
The Crescent includes Mohu's new flagship signal amplifier, called First Stage™. This high-performance amplifier is located right at the antenna where the signal is at its best. Benefits include improved reception with less pixelation.
The amplifier module is powered via an integrated USB cable, which lets you power the amplifier using a USB port on the back of your TV. Connected that way, the amplifier will only draw power when the TV is turned on. If you don't have an open USB port on your TV, the amplifier also includes a USB-to-AC power adapter so you can power the amplifier using any standard AC wall outlet.

More details on the Mohu Crescent
FirstStage Amplification: Mohu's new First Stage amplifier (15dB pre-amp gain) is located right next to the antenna, which sets the noise floor of the digital system and mitigates the loss created by the coaxial cable. The result is less pixelation and increased receiption capability.
Multi-Directional: Because the Mohu Crescent is mult-directional (360-degrees), there is no need to point the antenna in any particular direction.
75 Mile Range: The Mohu Crescent indoor/outoor amplfied antenna performs best within 75 miles of TV transmission towers. Go here and enter in your zip-code to find out which free over-the-air VHF/UHF channels are available in your area.
Indoor & Outdoor Mounting Options: The Mohu Crescent amplified antenna can be mounted indoors or outdoors. The antenna can be mounted in the attic or other interior space of your home, as well as outdoors on the roof or on the siding. Mounting brackets and hardware are included.
Detachable Coaxial Cable: The Mohu Crescent amplified antenna offers a detachable 30' RF-coaxial cable that can be swapped out for a different length of coax cable.
USB/AC Powered: The Crescent antenna's digital amplifier is powered via an integrated USB cable, which allows you to power the amplifier using a USB port on the back of your TV. The advantage of doing so is that the amplifier will only draw power when the TV is turned on, eliminating parasitic power consumption when the amplifier isn't needed. If you do not have an open USB port on the back of your TV, the Cresent also includes a USB-to-AC power adapter that will enable you to power the amplifier using any standard AC wall outlet.
