Mohu Leaf 30
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Worked well - white coxial cable was a plus over black one on amplified version since it is not as noticeable.
Mohu Leaf 30 mounted on a window.
The Mohu Leaf® 30 is one of the best performing, easiest to install indoor TV antennas available. Its small, paper-thin design mounts easily to a wall, or just about anywhere. You can even hide it behind a picture on the wall. The Leaf 30 can receive free over-the-air HDTV broadcasts from multiple directions, so you don't have to move it to pick up signals from different TV towers.
The Leaf 30's sophisticated super-thin design is modeled after a mud flap antenna designed for the U.S. military. It can pull in stations in the UHF and high-band VHF ranges (channels 7-51). You'll generally get the best reception if you can place the antenna fairly high on a wall or close to a window, away from the TV and other components. The Leaf 30 is reversible — white on one side and black on the other — and is also paintable for even greater room décor adaptability.
What can I say. No monthly bill, channels in HD . Pretty good Deal.

Worked well - white coxial cable was a plus over black one on amplified version since it is not as noticeable.
Great pictures and easy setup
No need to fiddle with this antenna when moving along the VHF band. Beautiful and Inconspicuous.
Cons: The velcro and push pins provided aren't adequate to attach the Mofu. We used 2 finishing nails
Order the Mohu Leaf 30 to get local TV station to compliment my Roku Ultra. Was very please to see how thin it is. It comes with white color on one side and black on other side. Easy hook up to attach to my Samsung Smart TV. After auto scan, there were more channels available than I thought. The main stations which broadcast in HD come in crystal clear. I am very please with this antenna. My TV station is less than 20 miles away from my house, so distance is not an issue. I've ordered one for my bedroom and bathroom since, and same experience. Nice buy to compliment your stream player when you decide to cut out cable.
Pros: crystal clear pix, easy setup, antenna comes in white on one side and black on the other, paper thin.
Cons: coax cable only comes in white, wish it comes in black instead.
Great product, tried 3 others which were more expensive and this one worked.
Pros: Inexpensive and works.
This antenna is great. It is flat and light weight and hides perfectly behind my TV. It is great value.
What can I say. No monthly bill, channels in HD . Pretty good Deal.
Pros: Five major stations.NBC,FOX,CBS,.... in HD plus a handful of sub stations. No monthly cable.
Cons: A couple channels come in pixelated
Works just as advertised. Easy set up. TV picture as good as cable.
It works better than I thought it would. It was super easy to install. I would recommend it.
Works well in my 2 story townhouse on upper level. There's been a few times where interference made the picture pixelated but it seems to self correct fairly quickly.
Pros: Slim unobtrusive design, good value
Solid product. It would be better if it includes the stand.
Good product. Good Price. Works as advertised. Easy install
simple to set up and it works! Picture on TV is great. We get over 30+ channels free and local TV is in HD.
Pros: we live within 10 miles of broadcast stations. This works great. No other equipment needed. Took less than 5 mins to get TV up and running.
This antenna worked best for my situation you never know until you use the amplified or nonamplified antenna so if amplified antenna does not work well in your area use a non-amplified I receive 25 channels in Las Vegas
Pros: Easy to hook up as 123 and paperthin
This antenna seems to be well built, looks pretty good - it's paintable, too - and comes with everything you will probably need including a 10 ft cable. All you do is disconnect the cable company coax from the back of the set, screw the antenna cable in the same spot, and then do a channel search under the "Antenna" (vs. "Cable") setting on your TV. Then try moving the antenna around to get the best overall reception. Best place will probably be as high as possible and on an outside wall. Once you've got that figured out, you just attach two little hangers(they come in the box ) that stick to the wall, and hang the antenna from it. You can move it again later if you want. The antenna is designed to be used on just one TV at a time, but you could buy an amplifier and splitter and use it for more than one. It works fine for me. I'm only about 4-5 miles from a whole mountain full of antennas, so I get about 60 local channels clear as a bell. Many of them are worthless, of course, but that's got nothing to do with the antenna. There are online guides to help you figure out what is on each local channel. Not as easy as my cable provider, but a LOT cheaper. It's easier to over-think installing one of these, but hey, it's really just a better-looking version of your old rabbit ears antenna, if you are old enough to remember those. The good news is that you just hang this one up and forget about it. No moving the antennas all over the place or hanging aluminum foil off th
Pros: Easy to install and set up; good value for the price.
Cons: I really can't think of one; it works just as I expected it would. Just be aware that you get what you pay for, and if you are in a spot where you need a more power antenna, then this one will not work miracles.
Getting local networks in digital quality. Design wise, it's fantastic. I have it sitting on top of kitchen cabinet w/coaxial hidden from sight. Now, I'm saving $18 a month by returning set-top box along with their "HD" fee...
It's this simple: I was going cordless, an antenna was needed to pick up local stations, and I didn't want to spend a month's cord-cutter savings. The Crutchfield representative showed me the Mohu Leaf 30 and within 20 minutes (including drive time) I had local TV. One other very substantial benefit was the gaining of a fuller and sharper picture. All in all, the Leaf 30 was an excellent choice. And there was no risk with the Crutchfield 60-day totalsatisfaction guarantee.
Pros: The advantages that I realized are low cost, quick and easy setup, and local TV reception generally better than cable.
Cons: A very occasional adjustment (a slight repositioning of the Leaf 30) is needed to maintain picture quality.
Great little indoor antenna
Pros: quick easy set up. Very thin can hardly see it even works when hung on wall behind a picture or painting. Its surface can be painted to match the wall. Appreciate the inclusion of a 10 foot antenna cable
just got this.. never heard of it before. but...... what a great product ! .....easy to install and i have 22 channels .. more than i had with comcast ...and say good buy to cable... yahoooooooooo
Pros: all good
Works as advertised. Used in downtown Cville and not on an exterior wall and pulls in all of Carter's Mountain channels just great!
Pros: Easy to install
Glad to have our local channels back!! Easy to install and placement was easy. Overall picture definition is very good. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
Does a wonderful job in the Albuquerque northeast heights area. Great picture on all the major channels providing HD signal. I have it mounted on a wall near the ceiling in the center area of the house, not an exterior wall, not a window, not the attic.
Pros: Very simple installation Great picture quality
I bought this because of price and prior reviews at the same time I purchased my new Sony Bravia 40" LED TV. Pay careful attention to the instructions or you will not get a consistent signal, I attribute my initial trouble with this antenna purely to "user error" - not reading (and following!) the instructions more carefully. Get the antenna as far away from the TV and components as you can - I tried it on a near window first, but it was too close to the TV - lots of pixelation and sound issues. Then on the back of a nearby stereo rack, further away from the TV, but no go. When I reread the instructions I streched the cord underneath an opposite windowsill, concealed it behind a love seat and taped it across the top and bottom to the back of a decorative cabinet - some distance from the window - and VOILA!!! Reception is now perfect (even without contact to an exterior wall)! Whether local channel or distant, VHS or UHF, it does not matter. Pixelation and distortion as well as sound issues virtually disappeared! Only down side, the screw-on mount does not appear to have enough threads and does not always make good contact with the receptacle on the TV, it will twist around if the antenna itself is not stabilized - so taping definitely did help. Possibly a design issue, but for this price and performance not a deal breaker. All in all a great value and will free you from the cable ball and chain!
Overall this is a clever product. Improves poor reception and gives cleaner picture.
Pros: Improves poor reception and can bring in more channels in certain situations.
Cons: May not bring in additional channels to some locations.
Great product. We have two actually. Easy set up (we put it right next to the TV) and good reception. We cut the cord over a year ago. Combining the Leaf with streaming channels has been so much better then paying for cable.
Does what it should and for great price if your kicking cable.
Pros: Color and mounting
This antenna works exactly as expected at a very reasonable price. I can pull in the three networks, Fox, CW, NBC weather, and three versions of PBS. One of the PBSs and CW will occasionally drop signal enough to mess up the picture, but the others are consistently clear and steady. I live in the center of Charlottesville. Between this antenna and internet content, I do not miss cable at all. I didn't pay more for a longer range antenna because no other city with broadcasts is close enough to bother.
This antenna works exactly like I was told it would by the knowledgeable sales person at Crutchfield. It was easy to install, and I'm surprised how many channels that come in so clearly!
As I am located in the Smokey Mountains, in an obscure location. I think the reception is great.
Pros: HD pick-up is 1080 clear
Cons: The wind seems to inject interference if it is over 30mph.
it works well. no issues.
This product is amazing. I knew prior to purchase that I would not get every channel that my living room (LR) cable/satellite receives. I get over 30 channels and most of them are as clear as my LR system. I am impressed with how many clear channels I receive and I am very satisfied with this indoor antenna. I found that by mounting the antenna at a 45 degree angle in the corner of my bedroom wall that I get the best reception. It is worth every nickel I spent on this system.
Pros: Ease of use, installation, hookup, and channel selection process.
Cons: None for me.
Have had two setup in my apartment for about a month now, only issue we've (fiancé and myself) expirienced is some static and picture freeze if you stand absolutely in front of the antenna. We do have them installed high up on the wall so they are in your line of site to the tv itself, if you don't want to see it have white or black walls.
Pros: Easy setup Easy to mount
Cons: Can be an eyesore
i knew it would work, a friend has it and it works for him. clear digital picture. cut the cable bill and save some cash.
Pros: clear digital signal

Very well reviewed. NOT amplified [yay] Fact that it was out of stock at Crutchfield was a testimony to high demand. [ Ellen Nov 23, 2018 ]
Originally picked the antenna with the amplifier for one of my tv's. Needed to disconnect amplifier to get a good signal so for shorter distance needs went to the non amplifier anetenna. I am approximately 18-20 miles from tv broadcast site. [ ART Sep 16, 2018 ]

Price and I trust Crutchfield to ONLY sell good electronics. Many TV shows I like are broadcast for FREE over the air waves. I have also purchased a recording device (Channel master DVR) so I can record these broadcasts and speed through the ads. This set up avoids the high cost of cable TV. I also liked the multi-directional feature of this unit. [ James Dec 30, 2016 ]

No you don't, it picks up digital broadcast channels [ Michael Sep 19, 2018 ]
No, neither is needed. I found that this antenna works best in front of a window preferably facing the direction of the incoming television signals. I get like 18 channels where I am. I used those plastic pushy pins to mount my antenna to the trim around a window. [ MARCI Sep 19, 2018 ]
I don't think I have an answer but my Mohu Works fine. When I first got my new TV I had to reprogram the stations and I was able to get the sub digits. My antenna was attached later. I hope this problem is quickly resolved. [ KATHLEEN Q Jun 01, 2015 ]
I cannot say for sure but I have used both the Mohu and Winegard HDTV antennas on my SONY HDTV's. Both have worked the same when scanning for station broadcast and did so as you experienced with your Sony TV. Therefore, I would think it is possibility do to the 'settings' on the Samsung 4K, that's where I would start to troubleshoot. [ Dwight A. May 30, 2015 ]
This is just a guess. Check your channel selection menu. Use "TV Antenna" or "Antenna" then do the auto-channel select feature and it should choose all those channels. If you did the search when the setting was on HDMI 1; or Cable it won't work. [ David J. May 29, 2015 ]

Digital TV broadcasts require a line-of-sight between your antenna and the broadcasting tower. I live within 20 miles of Washington D.C. and plenty of potential channels, but because I am in a shallow bowl with a thick tree border, I cannot get any of the DC stations. [ Matthew Nov 18, 2014 ]
This was a gift for my son who lives in Seattle. A lot of tall buildings, etc between him and his TV. He has said it is fabulous. He gets the channels he needs with a perfect picture. He would recommend highly for his situation. Cannot speak to the mountain situation, but he said he would personally try it. [ Linda Nov 17, 2014 ]
I have no experience in "mountain" areas. I get good reception from stations approx. 25 miles away, in an area that could be classified as some rolling hills. [ Fred Nov 14, 2014 ]
I live in the Smokey mountains of NC, I get great reception from the local stations and from as far as 80 miles away. For the price, I would get one and give it a try. [ william Nov 14, 2014 ]
I know our mountain has serious cell plus, towers....they can't use the mountain top condo anymore because of antennas up there...microwave or cell...not sure [ Michael Nov 14, 2014 ]
doubt it, but its about where the nearest broadcast tower is , not nearest town. [ robert Nov 14, 2014 ]
This antenna works remarkably well, though I am in an urban setting. I do receive broadcasts from 50-60 miles away though. There are no mountains either here. So, not sure if my experience is relevant for you. [ Reid Nov 14, 2014 ]
