2015 Ram 1500

Using this on 2015 RAM 1500 with no issues. Makes the whole installation process nice and smooth with no need to cut the factory harness.

Pros: Easy to use, well labeled

Cons: I wish the Amp Turn On wire was a little bit longer Input and Output connectors don't seem to sit tight when connected to DSR1

2017 Ram 1500

I bought this harness to connect the Rockford Fosgate DSR1 processor to my 2017 Ram 1500 factory head unit. The harness worked exactly as stated and had some additional connections for other applications (not for use in the Ram) getting the system to work as described was a bit more tricky, special attention needs to be taken when uploading firmware to the DSR1 so it will work with your vehicle and make sure that you flash the unit with the Fosgate firmware first before using the Idatalink firmware (which is finicky if you have Win10). Support for the idatalink is top notch and Justin was very helpful getting the software to work. Great product, clean install and fantastic results. The only complaint is the DSR1 does not have good control over the system noises such as parking indicators and while that has nothing to do with the harness it is part of the system.

Pros: Easy to connect, well labeled

Cons: No cons for the harness. Worked as it should.

Q
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 with the 8.4 Alpine radio. I see that my truck is listed under details as being compatible, but at the top, it shows that this does not my vehicle. Can you guys clear this one up?

I checked and it looks like this harness will work with the quad and crew cab pickups with those options. Our research department doesn't list it as working with the regular cab pickup and it appears that is because we don't have a listing for that regular cab style having both the 8" screen and Alpine audio systems. You might want to call an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation and to fully check your pickup. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101

Q
Is there another harness or is this it? It does not connect to the factory wires. Well only the white one connects the other one does not match up and it leaves another wire still not used. 2016 Chrysler 300. Unless mine came with the wrong wires.
