iDatalink HRN-AR-EXT4

This iDatalink 4-meter long T-harness allows you to relocate your Rockford Fosgate DSR1 processor or iDatalink-ready amplifier. It works with any Maestro AR module installation where you want to put the amp or processor in a different location than the factory amp.

Q
I have the 6 channel speaker with no amp. Can I use the to t off speaker wires without ruining factory harness?

A
No. It doesn't plug into any factory wiring.

This is only a digital transfer device if memory serves correctly. It won't carry an analog signal like coming from your speaker wires. The way maestro explains it on their site is that the canbus system comong from the stock stereo to the amplifier is all binary. Audio control makes a unit that can run off speaker level inputs

Sorry, forgot to mention in my last reply that you need the proper t harness for your car. You shouldn't be altering you factory harness. Also, you could bypass the factory speaker wires and run the amp outputs directly to the speakers. That should only be necessary if you are going to be pushing a lot more power to upgraded speakers. Like more than 100 watts I think.

The maestro ar t harness gets connected to the ext harness and the speaker output wires from your amps. The factory harness connected to the head unit then that plugs into the t harness and the t harness plugs into the head unit.

Q
Will this allow me to tap off speaker wires for a aftermarket amp. While retaining the original if I ever sell the vehicle? I'm keeping the factory radio but dont want to hack up the factory harness!

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Does this relocate the speaker wire for the factory amp as well?

A
No , it allows you to put the DSR1 in a remote location. you still have t run speakers wires from your amp to the factory amp location
[ Brian  Sep 10, 2018 ]
A
This is just a male to female extension to the harness cable that connects your factory radio to a maestro module. You need to purchase the actual harness (not just the extension) for what you need. Have a good one.
