Features
Overview: The Firstech Drone X1-OBD Harness provides a direct connection to your vehicle's OBD harness when installing a Drone X1-MAX telematics module (sold separately). One end of the attached T-harness plugs into the OBD port while the other end provides a female OBD connector, for use with other diagnostic devices. An attached 9-wire harness plugs directing into your Drone X1-MAX module providing power, ground, and both CAN + / - signals from the OBD port. Additional programmable input and output wires are provided for optional features such as controlling door locks, activating a trunk release, and more. The X1-OBD Harness provides the necessary connections when installing a Drone X1-MAX stand-alone, but can also be installed along with a remote start module for a direct CAN connection to the vehicle.
Notes:
- The programmable output wires (for door locks, trunk release, etc.) provide a negative output, which can be tied directly into vehicle wiring that uses a negative trigger. For vehicle functions that require +12V or use reversing polarity, relay(s) or a door lock module will be required (sold separately).
- The provided 3A fuse must not be inserted into the in-line fuse holder when connecting to an optional remote start module. Power will be provided from the remote start module through the 4-pin data connection.
