Great gift idea!
Crutchfield customer from Reidsville, NC on 12/24/2020
Bought these for my son as a holiday gift. He reports that they are the most comfortable earbuds he has ever worn. He is very impressed with the sound quality. When he calls me wearing them, I can hear him much more clearly on my end of the phone! The microphone picks up every sound available. He loves the case and says they charge super fast.

Mission accomplished!
Crutchfield customer from Washington, DC on 12/2/2020
I chose to replace my Jabra Elite Active 65t earbuds with the Pixel Buds for two reasons. Most important was that I could not get a secure fit with the Jabras so that while on the treadmill and even on walks, they always felt loose and often fell out. Second, the Jabras sporadically refused to connect with my phone unless I either replaced them in their case or restarted my phone -- an annoying problem. So far, the Pixel Buds, with their arcs that fits in my ear, have never come close to falling out. The are reasonably comfortable and their comfort is enhanced by my not having to worry about them while on the move. And since I have a Pixel phone, connecting the Buds is like a dream compared with the Jabras -- instantaneous! The touch controls on the Buds are very sensitive, which means no problem in adjusting volume, switching music tracks, answering phone, etc. -- once you know the controls. My only problem is that I'm so used to having to check to see that my Jabras were secure that I keep needlessly touching the Buds and inadvertently stopping the music or podcast That should no longer be a problem once the old habit dies! The sound is decent, but if you're an audiophile, you could surely do better, and you might then want noise cancelling, too. For me, music on walks sounds fine and podcasts are clear, and I'm happy.

Finally they are right
Crutchfield customer from Westminster, CO on 9/26/2020
They started a little rough with the audio cutouts, but now that the firmware updates have come out, these are amazing! Perfect sound and fit (They come with three sizes of earplugs). Wireless charging, location detection, and so much more. Thanks for finally fixing the Bluetooth issue Google!

Google Nest Pixel Buds (2nd Generation)
Crutchfield customer from Salt Lake City, UT on 9/21/2020
I usually have trouble with ear buds, but these fit and stay put. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but I like them.
Pros: Good controls, stays put, loud and clear. And, you can use one at a time.
Cons: Takes getting used to, and it is hard to hear your surroundings with them in.

Great Earbuds...Bad Bluetooth Connectivity
Crutchfield customer from Milan, MI on 8/3/2020
Great Earbuds except for one annoying issue. When you put your phone in your pocket (ie. to exercise) they keep cutting out. Very annoying when every 5th word cuts out. The controls work great. Tap to skip, swipe to adjust volume. Excellent!!!
Pros: Sound, Controls, Google Assistant, Wireless Charging
Cons: Bluetooth Connectivity

Not worth the money for music
Dan from Barnegat, NJ on 7/22/2020
If you are purchasing these earbuds to listen to music look somewhere else. I would rate them fair to dismal when it comes to sound quality. I have a pair of 20-year-old, wired, in-ear cheapo JVC ear phones which sound remarkably better than these. This is disappointing because my main reason for purchasing these was to listen to music while at work. I am using these with a Pixel 3A. Set up and connectivity have been a snap. It took about 3 seconds for the phone to set itself up. Phone calls seem to work very well. Everyone I talk to has said I sound crystal clear with a little background noise or interference. Because of this I will keep them, but considering the price and knowing what I know now I would not buy these again. They seem to have about a 4-hour battery life. Which is much shorter than expected. This is with listening to music with the occasional phone call. They do charge very quickly but it looks like the charging case is good for about one and a half charges before the charging case needs to be recharged. Giving me about a day and a half of actual run time. I have found myself just plugging in once a day to charge. If you are comfortable with in-ear earbuds I found these to be the same as all others I've tried.
Pros: Phone call clarity is good
Cons: Terrible for music. Absolutely no detail and no base response.

Almost Great
Logan from Cape Coral, FL on 6/4/2020
The second gen pixel buds are only good for certain things. The buds either let in too much ambient noise in a loud room, or you can hear faint hissing all the time in a quiet room (with podcasts or quiet music). This means you have to be active (running, working out, shopping, etc.) to not notice these huge annoyances. Fit and finish is great, sound quality is pretty good for this segment, and they are insanely easy to use. But they can never be good for just listening to music or podcasts, especially at $179. I really wanted to like these a lot, but the drawbacks outweigh everything else. Side note: My left earbud is consistently much louder than my right earbud, which is likely a problem with my specific pair as it doesn't seem to be a common issue. This hasn't been fixed by a firmware update so I'll be returning these, and am unsure if I will buy another pair or look elsewhere.
Pros: Battery Life- Fast recharge time, and most people only use earbuds for a couple hours at a time anyways. Fit and Finish- Look great and live up to the Pixel branding in ease of use and great connection.
Cons: Sound Quality- About average with pretty annoying hissing that shows up in quiet music or podcasts. Comparable but worse than Panasonic Ergofit wired buds Fit- The wingtips aren't the most comfortable for long sessions, but they hold the buds in great and I've never had them fall out. I find them to be only ever be tolerable, and never forget they're in my ears. Bugs- A lot of people have connection issues, and my right bud is consistently quieter than the left. Very much a first gen pro

Fit issues
Crutchfield customer from Valley Stream, NY on 5/31/2020
They might be perfect for people with small ears but the installed fin did nothing for me as far as making these secure. The sound quality is on par with Apple Airpods (Gen 1)
Pros: Sound, Lightweight, Accessible
Cons: Poor fit

Solid, well designed but one quark
Crutchfield customer from Columbus, OH on 5/20/2020
They are well designed and the quality is great. The touch controls are easy and work well too. They work well with my Pixel phone. However, I continue to have issues with the audio cutting out when I am using them connected to my PC and using them on MS Teams calls.
Pros: Great design, made solid, touch controls on the ear buds are easy, audio quality is good
Cons: Finding and using the setup / config of the ear buds in the Google app is more difficult than it should be. When connected to my PC and using them on MS Teams calls, the audio cuts out randomly.

Great wireless earbuds for Android users! Sound great, with the added convenience of having the Google assistant system ready at any moment.
Pros: Google assistant built in Fit works great for me Touch controls are the best I've used so far
Cons: Pricey (but at least it's in line with the competition)

LOVE these!
Crutchfield customer from Cincinnati, OH on 5/19/2020
I absolutely love these earbuds. They are really comfortable, I forget I have them in. The battery life isn't great but since I only wear one at a time, it doesn't bother me much. I just switch one out for the other. I love having Google Assistant on the earbuds.
Pros: Google Assistant. Comfortable. Sound is great. Wireless charging case.
Cons: Battery life.

Great sound, excellent fit!
Nathan from Hutto, TX on 5/11/2020
Bought these as a gift for my wife. She is a big fan of the Google suite of software and uses pretty much all of the features on her Google Pixel 4. After spending a few short minutes to pair and set up the ear buds, it was immediately clear that these were the perfect choice for her. First, you can completely control your phone with simple hand gestures on the side of your buds. You also have access to the Google assistant which is nice if you need to stay hands free. The sound quality is excellent and provides very nice, full and rich sound. It's almost as if you're sitting in a large concert hall. I am no professional, but I have spent over 25 years in the home audio world and would rate these as a very worthy pair of ear buds. Perhaps if you spent two or three times the price you may notice a difference. The fit on these is also excellent. I have tried many ear buds and typically have a hard time finding ones that are comfortable while sitting securely in my ear in addition to providing great sound. These ear buds seal nicely in your ear, stay secure, and sound great! If you are like me, and have tried the super popular buds from that other giant corporation, only to be sorely disappointed by the fit and the sound, then give these a try. They were exactly what I was looking for and far exceeded my expectations in every way.
Pros: Great Sound Good Bass Excellent Fit Full Google assistant Google Translate is awesome! Water resistant Low Profile, not bulky at all Comfortable Easy to use and set up
Cons: Battery life could be longer
