About the Da-Lite Cinema Contour 87157V

The Cinema Contour series is Da-Lite's finest fixed-frame screen design. It's the smart choice for the true videophile who has a high-performance projector and a room well-suited to watching movies.

The Cinema Contour series is Da-Lite's finest fixed-frame screen design. It's the smart choice for the true videophile who has a high-performance projector and a room well-suited to watching movies.

The sturdy 3" aluminum frame has a 45° cut that gives it a striking look. You attach the screen material to the frame using the supplied snaps, which stretches the screen flat to provide a smooth, uniform surface for the projected image. Da-Lite's Pro-Trim black fabric covers the frame, concealing projector overshoot and boosting visual punch.

This screen features Da-Lite's smooth, white Da-Mat® surface. It ensures accurate image reproduction, and provides an exceptionally wide angle of view with little loss of resolution. Da-Mat is a great choice for situations where you can control your room's ambient light, and where a wide viewing angle is necessary.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Da-Lite Cinema Contour is a fixed frame, non-retractable projection screen. It has a 45° angle cut aluminum frame to give it a sleek, modern appearance. It is designed for mounting on the wall, or into a wall opening. The frame features the Pro-Trim finish, a black fabric covering that enhances the appearance of the screen, while it absorbs light surrounding the viewing area. It comes with the Da-Mat screen fabric.

Viewing Area: The screen has a 106" (diagonal) viewing area with a 16:9 aspect ratio, perfect for viewing your HDTV programs and movies. The viewing area is 52" high and 92" wide.

Screen Surface: The Da-Mat screen surface is a smooth, white material which gives you precise images and a wide viewing angle (+/-60° from center). It has a gain factor of 1.0, which means the amount of light projected on the screen is returned to the viewer at the same brightness. Da-Mat is ideal for situations with controlled ambient light, and where a wide viewing angle is required. The screen surface is washable with mild soap and water, flame retardant, and mildew resistant.

Installation: This Da-Lite projection screen is designed to be permanently wall-mounted. The frame comes in four pieces, and must be assembled. In addition, two wall-mount brackets are included, one each for the top and bottom. Enough hardware is included for assembling the frame, fastening the viewing surface, and attaching the wall-mount brackets. The screen does NOT include the hardware for securing it to the wall. It is recommended that the wall-mount brackets be secured to wall studs.
