About the Paradigm Soundtrack 2
A serious upgrade for your TV's sound
A serious upgrade for your TV's sound
Don't you wish you could replace those speakers in your TV with something a little more powerful? How about a lot more powerful? Add the Paradigm Soundtrack 2 to your setup and let this handsomely styled sound bar and wireless subwoofer inject some serious drama into your movies and TV shows. It's easy to connect with just a single cable and control with the included remote. You can even program your existing remote to work with it. Bluetooth wireless connectivity also makes it a great stereo system for use with your smartphone or tablet. With music or movies, you'll enjoy sound that's powerful and crystal clear.
A sound bar designed by speaker experts
If you have a newer flat-panel TV, you can probably imagine how tiny its built-in speakers must be. The Soundtrack 2's sound bar features a pair of 1" tweeters, a pair of 4" cone woofers, and two 4" passive radiators. This gives you a lot more speaker than your TV, for sound that seemingly jumps out at you. Just as important, these drivers are built by Paradigm, a leading speaker manufacturer well-known among hi-fi enthusiasts. The speakers are powered by built-in amplification to deliver room-filling sound with loads of detail. Enable Paradigm's virtual surround sound and hear how enveloping this bar's sound can be.
It's easy to find room for this subwoofer
If you don't have a subwoofer in your TV room, you're missing out on a lot. It's not just explosive movie sound effects, but soundtrack music and other ambient noise. The Soundtrack 2's wireless subwoofer fills in the missing bass, for sound that's far fuller than you'll ever hear with just a TV. The 8" driver and dual ports ensure plenty of deep bass that's a welcome addition to movies and music. It connects wirelessly to the sound bar, so you can place it anywhere in your room without running a long wire across your floor. Plus, it can rest vertically or horizontally, for even more placement options.
Where's the subwoofer? Lay it flat and slide it under the couch to enjoy powerful bass response that's hidden from view.
Play music wirelessly from your smartphone
We love CDs, but we also love the convenience of listening to music with a smartphone or tablet. With Bluetooth connectivity, the Soundtrack 2 lets you stream music wirelessly from your device for playback through this thrilling system. Pair your device with the sound bar, and you can instantly play your stored digital tunes, stream from apps like Pandora® Internet radio, or listen to audio from YouTube™.
Place it on your TV stand or wall
The Paradigm Soundtrack 2's sound bar can be wall-mounted with the included bracket, or simply rest it on your TV stand. Connect it to your compatible TV via and optical cable to take advantage of Dolby® Digital processing for movies and TV. There are also minijack and RCA stereo inputs for older TVs.

Soundtrack 2 System: The Paradigm Soundtrack 2 system consists of a self-amplified soundbar speaker and a wireless powered subwoofer. The Soundtrack 2 system easily connects to your flat-panel TV for realistic room-filling sound, without the need for a separate receiver or rear speakers. The Soundtrack 2 offers optical digital, stereo analog, and Bluetooth connectivity. An IR remote is included for wireless operation of the system or program the system to respond to your TV's IR remote.
Dolby Digital Decoding + Paradigm Virtual Surround: The Soundtrack 2 system decodes Dolby Digital through its optical (toslink) digital input and provides virtual surround sound from just its active soundbar speaker and wireless powered subwoofer via proprietary DSP technology, known as "Paradigm Virtual Surround". In most systems without dedicated surround/rear speakers much of the impact of surround sound is lost, since there are no physical speaker channels to deliver it. Paradigm Virtual Surround processing ensures none of this impactful sound is lost. Through sophisticated mathematical algorithms, Paradigm Virtual Surround gathers all the neglected sonic information in a central sweet spot, then redirects it into the front left and right channels of the soundbar speaker, sending it out into the room in a way that creates the auditory illusion of surround sound with an enveloping audio experience.
Note: The Paradigm Virtual Surround mode can be turned off for 2-channel stereo music listening.
Self-Amplified Soundbar Speaker: The self-amplified soundbar speaker is equipped with six drivers (three drivers per left/right channel). Each channel features a 1" Ferro-Fluid Cooled Dome Tweeter, 4.5" Bass/Midrange Woofer, and Dual 4" Passive Radiators. This driver configuration provides a wide soundstage with excellent stereo imaging.
- 1" Ferro-Fluid Cooled Dome Tweeters: The soundbar speaker employs two 1" satin-anodized, pure-aluminum dome tweeters. Fluid cooling the voice coil improves power handling which improves the accuracy, purity and range of the high-frequencies.
- 4" Bass/Midrange Woofers: The soundbar uses two 4" mineral-filled polypropylenes bass/midrange woofers. This material delivers a superb low-mass, high-stiffness ratio for excellent reproduction in the higher midrange and fast transient response (explosions, etc.). The material is also an effective damper for distortion as the woofers move back and forth.
- 4" Passive Radiators: The two 4" passive radiators are constructed of a mineral-filled polypropylene. The dual radiators extend the soundbar speaker's range in the lower bass frequencies.
Wireless Powered Subwoofer: The Paradigm Soundtrack 2 system includes a wireless powered subwoofer. This compact, low-profile sub features an 8" laminated polypropylene cone driver with a 1.5" high-temperature aluminum-wire voice coil. Dual ports ensure even, articulate, well-timed bass performance. Oversized ports and driver are arranged in a perpendicular array to achieve the low-profile design. The powered sub receives its audio signal wirelessly from the Soundtrack 2 system's soundbar speaker (a mono-RCA connection is also offered, if you prefer a wired connection between the soundbar and the sub). You can adjust the volume level of the sub independently from the soundbar speaker, using its rear-panel rotary volume level knob.
Note: The Soundtrack 2 system features a 2.4GHz uncompressed digital self-sensing design that will automatically adjust for the best wireless connection while monitoring the integrity of the data stream. You are able to place the wireless sub up to 50' from the soundbar speaker.
Class-D Amplification + DSP: Both the soundbar and wireless subwoofer feature Class-D amplification. The soundbar's Class-D amp delivers 25 watts x 2-channel (RMS) and 50 watts x 2-channel (Peak). The sub's integrated amplifier provides 100 watts of power (RMS) or 250 watts of power (Peak). The Paradigm Soundtrack 2's DSP (digital signal processing) design uses sophisticated mathematical algorithms to shape frequency response so that even when the system is playing at loud levels, sound is clear, musical, and authentic.
Molded ABS Enclosures: Both the soundbar speaker and wireless powered sub feature a molded ABS enclosure in a black matte finish.
Analog + Digital Inputs: The Paradigm Soundtrack 2 system offers one digital inputs and two analog inputs (all found on the rear-panel of the soundbar speaker). The soundbar speaker is fitted with a single optical (toslink) digital audio input which supports 2-channel PCM & Dolby Digital. The soundbar is also fitted with a 3.5mm input and a stereo RCA input for connection of an analog device.
Note: The digital optical output terminals of most newer flat-panel TVs only send an audio signal in 5.1ch when receiving Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound from the TV's built-in tuner, network connection, or connected USB device; and will output only 2ch stereo from sources connected to the TV via HDMI, or RCA (like your Blue-ray/DVD player or satellite/cable box).
Bluetooth Audio w/ aptX: The Paradigm Soundtrack 2 features built-in Bluetooth (A2DP/AVRCP) so you can wirelessly stream stored music and music apps on your Apple device (iPod/iPhone/iPad), Android smartphone/tablet, or other compatible device to the soundbar speaker system. It even offers aptX audio coding in order two wirelessly deliver CD-quality sound from select Android mobile devices to the system. You'll be able to control basic playback functions (Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track) from the Soundtrack 2 system's IR remote. You will still continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advance music navigation and to view song/artist information.
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Paradigm Soundtrack 2.
Remote Control: The Paradigm Soundtrack 2 system comes with an IR remote control for wireless operation. The remote turns the system's power on/off, switches between inputs, and controls volume up/down. The remote can also be used to control basic music playback functions (Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track) of your Bluetooth-paired device. You can also program the system's volume functions to operate from your TV's remote control.
Mounting Options: The soundbar speaker can be placed on a flat-surface below your flat-panel TV using the supplied feet. You can also mount the soundbar speaker to the wall using the included keyhole mounting brackets (mounting screws not supplied). The wireless powered subwoofer can be positioned horizontally (using the supplied feet) or vertically (using the vertical stand).
