Plenty of ways to play

You'll have plenty of options for music playback with this receiver. With built-in Bluetooth, you can stream music from your smartphone or other device. You can plug a device into the AUX input, or just kick back and enjoy a ballgame or a race on good old-fashioned AM/FM radio. The charging USB input can keep your phone charged while you're out on the water.

Outdoor-tested toughness

The INFPRV90's backlit LED display shows you what you're listening to with just a glance, no matter how bright it gets out there. And if it gets wet out there, which it probably will, the water-resistant face and controls will stand up to moisture, salt, and sun.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Q
Can you use this on an amplified soundbar on my side by side?
chris  Jan 04, 2023
1 answer
A
This does not have any form of preamplifier outputs that could be connected to a powered soundbar. The INFPRV90 is intended to be connected directly to non-powered (passive) speakers.

Q
Can you hook this to an amp?
jamie  Mar 21, 2022
1 answer
A
The Infinity INFPRV90 does not offer any preamp outputs. You would need to tap in speaker-level to add amps.

Q
Can this be used in a car? I want to put it in a classic car and do not want to cut the dash for a newer style radio and do not want the new retro ones. This could be hidden in the center console.
kevin  Dec 07, 2021

A
Yes. My only warning is there is only a 12v+ but no keyed 12v+ wire to connect this unit, so you'll need to open the console to turn it on and off or wire the 12v+ to a keyed source. It doesn't have a lot of retained memory to it which facilitates the ability to do so which can be helpful in your case, but it is also annoying in certain aspects. For example it'll remember a Bluetooth device and the last tuned station but it will not resume where you left off when playing music from an attached USB stick.

Q
Can you confirm 20 watt vs 40 watt? Owners manual says 4x40W amp, but doesn't specify RMS vs peak. Want to get properly sized speakers.
christopher  Feb 14, 2021

A
These specifications are correct and confirmed through the manufacturer's site! You better plan on getting 20 watts RMS per channel to the speakers and if you would like some help in building a system, we have advisors that can be reached by calling 1-800-324-9695 who will be happy to help give you a personal recommendation on speakers
jason  Mar 03, 2021 (Staff)
A
I can't confirm that but I used Infinity 6.5 marine speakers and it sounds great.Enter
mark  Mar 01, 2021
Q
Can you confirm 20 watts vs 40 watts? Owners manual just says 4x40W amp. I'm trying to pair with speakers and want to get the right size.
christopher  Feb 14, 2021
2 answers
A
That is max wattage. RMS is 20w.
joseph  Feb 14, 2021
A
Since it isn't specified anywhere I made the assumption that it's 20 watts RMS and 40 watts Peak. I certainly wouldn't use speakers rated less than 40 watts.
walter  Feb 14, 2021
Q
Will this unit, not wired to any speakers, play the radio to a jbl Bluetooth speaker?
lee  Oct 13, 2020
3 answers
A
I have not tried it specifically in that configuration, however the unit will scan for any bluetooth device available, so I can't see any reason why it would not work for your intended configuration.
steve  Oct 14, 2020
A
I don't have specific experience to answer your question. But the BT Music setting is found within the mode selection, which are input modes, not output. So my thinking is that the answer is probably no. You might want to double check with the manufacturer.
richard  Oct 13, 2020
A
Wish I could help. I wired it to speakers. I will say i like the unit.
jimmy  Oct 13, 2020
Q
Are any extra parts needed to install this radio in the boat or is it a matter of plug and play?
larry  Jun 16, 2020
1 answer
A
I mounted mine in a vintage Volkswagen, and had no issues, it was a straightforward plug and play.
