About the Music Hall MMF-Mark1

A well-built 'table at a value price

A well-built 'table at a value price

The Music Hall MMF-Mark1 was inspired by the company's beloved MMF-2.3, but it sells at a more affordable price. You get the same fully manual operation, solid plinth with adjustable vibration-damping feet, and heavy steel alloy platter with felt mat.

And there are some new touches, including an S-shaped aluminum tonearm with a factory-installed Ortofon moving magnet cartridge and a Teflon®-coated stainless steel bearing assembly for smooth, quiet platter rotation. It's a great choice if you want to save a few bucks without skimping on sound quality.

Note: This turntable requires a phono preamp or a dedicated phono input on your receiver or preamplifier.

Features

Low-Noise Belt Drive Design (2-Speed): The Music Hall MMF-Mark1 turntable features a low noise, belt-drive design that supports 33-1/3 RPM and 45 RPM (adapter included) speeds. The MMF-Mark1 turntable utilizes an AC synchronous motor for superior speed stability and a precision stainless steel main bearing sheathed in Teflon for noise-free fluid operation.

Vibration-Damping Design: The Music Hall MMF-Mark1 employs a MDF plinth that is available in a high-gloss piano black lacquer or walnut wood veneer finish. The MDF plinth rests on four special vibration-damping adjustable feet to isolate the turntable from the mounting surface. Also included is a dynamically balanced alloy platter and a soft felt mat for further vibration resistance.

S-Shaped Aluminum Tonearm: The Music Hall MMF-Mark1 uses an aluminum, S-shaped design 8.6" tonearm with a precision aluminum headshell to to achieve the highest possible level of rigidity and internal damping. The tonearm flange is CNC-machined, which allows for accurate mounting of the tonearm to the turntable chassis. The counterweight is factory installed and pre-set, while the VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) is fully adjustable.

Ortofon OM NN Cartridge (MM): The Music Hall Mark1 uses a high quality, super fast and dynamic low mass cartridge from one of the leading cartridge manufacturers in Europe, the Ortofon OM NN. The included Ortofon OM NN is a MM (moving magnet) cartridge that perfectly matches the characteristics of the turntable's all-aluminum, S-shaped tonearm. This combination creates a beautiful, full-bodied sound for your vinyl record music collection.

Note: The headshell, cartridge, and stylus assembly all come pre-installed to the turntable's tonearm.

Attached Stereo RCA Cable: The Music Hall Mark1 is fitted with an attached 44" stereo RCA cable and ground wire to connect the turntable to the Phono MM input and ground terminal of your AV receiver, integrated amplifier, or powered speaker.

Note: If your AV receiver, integrated amplifier, or powered speaker does not have a Phono MM input, then you'll also need to purchase an external Phono preamp (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).

Dust Cover: The Music Hall MMF-Mark1 comes with a clear plastic hinged dust-cover to protect the turntable and your vinyl record collection from dust and debris build up. The dust cover can also be detached and totally removed.

  • Dimensions with Dust Cover Closed:

    16.375" (w) x 4.625" (h) x 13.1875" (d)
  • Dimensions with Dust Cover Open: 16.375" (w) x 14.5" (d) x 15.75" (d)

AC Power Adapter: The included external AC power adapter plugs into the back of the turntable and into an AC power outlet or surge protector/line conditioner (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
