Overview: The Beats by Dre Solo³ Wireless headphones, like the wired versions, feature a sleek design with new classy colors. With built-in Bluetooth technology, the Solo³ Wireless give you the freedom to listen to your music or take hands-free calls without being tethered to your device. For those times when you can't (or choose not to) go wireless, these on-ear headphones come with a 54" color-matched straight RemoteTalk cable. The headphones also include a charging cable and a black fabric carrying case. The Solo³ Wireless headphone is durable, but lightweight, weighing in at 7.5 ounces, so you can wear them every day for long periods of time.
Comfortable Design: The Beats Solo³ Wireless headphones have a flexible curved headband with soft padding to give you a comfortable fit. The angled earcups match the shape of your head and ears to provide a more natural fit and better sound transfer. The earcup padding is covered with a breathable material that dissipates heat and minimizes sound leakage. The earcups are hinged so they can be folded for easy storage in the included carrying case.
Bluetooth: Equipped with Class 1 Bluetooth, the Beats Solo³ Wireless headphones have a longer range than typical Bluetooth headphones. The pairing procedure has been simplified for iPhones with iOS 10 or later. With Bluetooth activated and the iPhone unlocked, you can pair the headphones by pressing the power button for 1 second and holding it within 2" of the headphones. It then simultaneously connects to your Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac (requires iCloud account, and macOS Sierra, iOS 10, or watchOS 3). For other devices, pairing requires choosing the Beats Solo³ in the Bluetooth Settings menu. In addition to iPhones and iPads, the headphones are compatible with Android and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Wireless Controls: Wireless music controls on the headphone are located on the center "b" button while the volume controls are above and below the button. Music Controls include Play/Pause, and changing tracks. Phone controls include answer/end your calls. Pressing and holding the button will activate Siri voice control.
RemoteTalk Cable: The included 54" RemoteTalk audio cable features an in-line microphone/3-button remote control and a right-angled 3.5mm plug. The remote is fully compatible with iPhone, iPod, and iPad. The outer buttons control volume up and volume down, while the center button controls phone calls, music playback (play/pause/changing tracks), and accesses voice assistance (Siri). RemoteTalk is also partially compatible with Android, Blackberry, and Windows devices (volume up/down, play/pause music and answer/hang up phone calls).
Rechargeable Battery: The Beats Solo³ wireless is much more power efficient than its predecessor, the Solo² wireless. With the super-efficient Apple W1 chip, the Solo³ wireless offers up to 40 hours of battery life on a single charge, compared to 12 hours with the Solo². A 5-LED "Fuel Gauge" on the left earcup lets you see at a glance the status of the remaining battery charge. When the battery is exhausted, you can still enjoy your music and phone calls by plugging in the included RemoteTalk cable.
Fast Fuel: The new Fast Fuel feature lets you quickly charge your headphones when the battery runs low and you don't have time for a full charge. A quick 5-minute charge provides 3 hours of playback time.
