Import your CD library into your Astell&Kern player
The Astell&Kern AK CD-Ripper MKII has only one function — and it's designed to do it extremely well. It reads CDs and converts the data to either WAV or FLAC audio files. The files transfer to your compatible Astell&Kern high-performance digital music player, ready to be enjoyed in full audio fidelity.
Tranfer music via USB
The ripper connects to your Astell&Kern portable player via one of two included USB cables. Use your player's built-in controls to select file format and transfer speed. Once transfer is complete, your player automatically downloads album art and track info from Gracenote. You can also edit this information manually.
A USB Type-A to Micro Type-B power cable is included; separate USB AC adapter required.
Quality construction for optimal performance
The AK CD-Ripper MKII is carefully designed to ensure it reads your CDs as accurately as possible. The ripper is housed in a hefty aluminum chassis, which sits on three spring-loaded dampers. This virtually eliminates any vibration from the spinning CD. The end result is precise, error-free data transfer from CD to WAV or FLAC format.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The Astell&Kern AK CD-Ripper MKII (PEM15) helps you load your favorite CDs onto your A&K portable digital music player. When connected to your music player, you can control the CD ripping process through the player's on-screen user interface. The AK CD-Ripper MKII is powered by USB using the included cable and a USB power adapter with an output of at least 5V 2A.
Compatibility: The AK CD-Ripper MKII comes with a variety of USB cables for powering the device, and connecting it to your A&K portable. Based on the connection methods, the CD ripper is compatible with the following players:
- USB Type-C to Micro USB 5-pin: SP1000, SP1000M, SE200, SE180, SE100, SR25, SR25 MKII, KANN CUBE
- Micro USB 5-pin to Micro USB 5-pin: AK380, AK320, AK300, KANN, AK240, AK120II, AK100II, AK70 MKII, AK70, SR15
Metadata: When you connect your A&K music player to the CD ripper (and connected to Wi-Fi), the player will access Gracenote's servers and begin downloading the latest music data, including song titles and album art and write it to the ripped music files. You also have the option to manually enter metadata such as album title, artist, genre, and year of release for CD information that is not available on Gracenote.
Design and Construction: The AK CD-Ripper MKII is constructed of gun metal-colored aluminum with a spring-loaded base to reduce vibrations from the spinning CD and from the outside for more accurate data transfer. The square base supports the CD drive in a triangular configuration. The CD ripper has a single front panel insertion slot for the CD with an eject button. On the rear panel are two Micro-B 5-pin USB ports for power and connection to the A&K portable device. The CD ripper has an increased weight (44.45 ounces) to help limit vibrations. Dimensions: Width 5.869" Height 1.954" Depth 5.871".
Controls: CD Ripping controls and settings are found in the user interface of the connected portable player. You can set the device to rip CDs automatically or manually. You can also choose the ripping file format (WAV or FLAC), and the ripping speed (Normal, Fast, or Very Fast). If you enable Error Correction, CD ripping may take longer.
Power: The AK CD-Ripper MKII is powered by USB via the included cable (Type A USB to Micro-B USB). You must use a USB power supply rated at 5V 2A or more, or else the device may not be recognized by the player.
Note: If connecting the CD ripper to the AK380 portable player, it can be connected via the AK380 cradle. If the cradle is connected to a power supply of 5V 2A, a separate power supply is not needed for the AK CD-Ripper MKII.

Incredibly easy to set up and use. Very convenient since you can eliminate using a laptop. Just connect the portable device with one cable, set your ripping preferences one time, then insert a cd. That's it!!
