Very nice performance as a center speaker in my home theater

Martin Logan Axis in-wall speakers gave an outstanding sound to my sound systems. I am very much delighted to have it added to my components. I am highly satisfied to what I was looking for a long time, and saves a lot of space.

I was very surprised by the performance of these speakers. I was concerned by the lack of a cabinet but they generate very detailed sound. I presently have them mounted in a vaulted ceiling with open rafters to the attic. It is pitched at 45 degrees so they do point toward the listener almost perfectly. I also have them spaced farther apart than recommended because of room limitations (fireplace) but the clarity and sound stage are still amazing. I am running a separate powered sub and a non Martin Logan center channel speaker. Definitely would recommend these. Martin Logan makes great products. You can see and feel the quality as soon as you open the box. You can hear the quality as soon as you put the power to them. They can take every bit of it and still sound great. My wife is very pleased as well. You can turn these up without hesitation and they continue to reproduce distortion free detailed sound. I can hear instruments and sounds i could not hear with my previous setup. You definitely get what you pay for. I would not hesitate to buy these again, I am going to get the MartinLogan-ElectroMotion-IW for my surrounds.
Pros: No cabinet so they are discrete. Great sound. Easy to install if you are not afraid to cut Sheetrock. Templates and instructions are included. I have them located in all the wrong positions and they still perform great. Jazz, rock, classical as well as movies are all outstanding. The clarity of the highs and the mid range punch is fantastic. With a sub to fill the bottom they are truly a great option if you have floor or bookshelf space limits.
Cons: Non that I can think of.
