All-Weather Loudspeaker: The MartinLogan Installer Series ML-75AW all-weather loudspeakers are constructed from durable materials to provide years of trouble-free outdoor listening enjoyment (even under extreme weather conditions). The ML-75AW loudspeakers feature a fully-sealed mineral-filled reinforced enclosure that provides protection from harsh weather elements. They also have water & UV-resistant aluminum grilles, stainless steel & polymer mounting brackets, brass hardware, and gold-plated binding posts for superior toughness.

Note: MartinLogan recommends that you not place the ML-75AW loudspeaker in direct sunlight. The ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can cause deterioration of speaker cones, etc. For installation of these all-weather speakers MartinLogan recommends as little direct sunlight as your installation will allow.

Two-Way Driver Design: The Installer Series ML-75AW all-weather loudspeakers feature a 1" titanium dome tweeter and a 7.5" mineral-filled polypropylene woofer to ensure great high, midrange, and midbass frequency performance.

Gold-Plated Binding Posts: The ML-75AW speakers are outfitted with gold-plated binding posts that will accept bare wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, spade-lugs, and banana plugs (single only). Use 16AWG speaker wire for wire runs of 15' or less, 14AWG speaker wire for wire runs of 30' or less, and 12AWG speaker wire for wire runs of 30' or less.

Mounting Options: The included mounting brackets allow for installation in locations such as mounted to an exterior wall under a roof soffit (minimizing exposure to sunlight and rain), an exterior wall, in a gazebo, on a deck or railing, etc. The ML-75AW can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

Placement: Ideally you want to place the speakers far enough apart to achieve stereo imaging, but not so far apart that you are unable to hear both speakers simultaneously in the primary listening area. As a rule of thumb, distance between your speakers should equal 50-75% of the distance from the listening area. For example, if you have a grilling or lounging area 20' away, the speakers should be positioned 10'-15' feet apart.
