Overall good monitor speaker. If using as the main speaker, need to have a sub-woofer.

The sound is great. The best sound I've ever heard when I used it as a guitar amp! It also looks very good when used as a stage monitor. In a small church environment I'm in the size is just perfect!

Pros: Great sound and perfect size for many different uses.

This units has been great so far. I have used it on stage as my Fractal Audio AX8 monitor (taking the place of my guitar amplifier). The sound is very clean and plenty loud to hear over my very loud vand. I love the size and weight too!

Pros: Size, clean, weight and power.

Cons: None so far.

Glad to have the limiter on these speakers. Good to have the insurance on a dj night when our sound guy isn't running things.

Superb Guitar Amplification

I am using the DBR10 in an unusual way... playing a superb, Trenier archtop guitar through it with the aid of an AKG wireless lapel mic. When the guitar was built, I had a 1/4" hole drilled near the end-pin. The wireless transmitter is velcroed to the end of the guitar and the tiny condenser mic was threaded through the hole and brought up through the f-hole to be attached invisibly under the pick guard. The wireless receiver rests on top of--and is plugged into--the DBR10. It took a bit of experimenting with the tone switches on the DBR10 and with room placement but the DBR10 is now giving me an amplified sound that is true to the tonal beauty of the instrument. I love this setup! Allen

Pros: True tonal reproduction. Good EQ filters. Compact. Light. Good looking.

Cons: None

Really great response for the size and weight of this speaker. I'm using it with an Apple Airport Express and stream music via AirPlay in a large gymnasium during practices. The line input is perfect for this situation and the FOH contour gives a little extra Umph if you want it. I plan on using it with a mic for clinics/camps as well. Just one unit really fills the gym with sound. Not gonna get lots of loud/deep bass, but plenty for listening to music in most cases. Can't imagine better quality and feature set for this price. A+

Pros: Line input, mix of two channels, light weight, convenient size, good looks, well built.

Cons: Could have sub pass though, or daisy chain features, but those are for higher end models and help keep the price down
