I was searching for a pair of powered speakers for DJing and small PA gigs. I was going to get the JBL 6 or 7 series or QSC's until the salesman said have you considered these Yamaha DXR's. WOW!!! He told me that they were the sleepers that no one knew about. We did side by sides with other comparable models but overall the Yamaha's won me. I have used these for a year now and they are a BEAST!!!! Truly a workhorse speaker. I am looking for two more now. Very good speakers with no negative comments, all positive and I highly recommend them.

Pros: Great product.....would highly recommend. Worth every penny.

Cons: No cons

I must say with a Yamaha MG12XU mixer ( all main settings @ 0) a pair of the DXS 18 subs (output set @ through / level @ 0db / xover @ 100hz / d-xsub @ normal / polarity @ normal / cardioid @ off) with a Pair of DXR 15's pole mounted a top the DXS 18's. DXR 15's settings (input #1 with balanced mogami gold trs cable / level @ 0db / switch @ line / link mode @ stereo / d-contour @ foh/main / hpf @ 100hz) Properly position the speakers on the floor and watch out! your in for an impressive performance at all volume levels. My experience with this set up is, it will blow the roof off the right size venue, with all 4 speakers playing, a total of 3 kilowatts of Clean Crisp Clear continuous power, and a little more than 4.2 kilowatts of dynamic power. Yamaha and Nexo did well with this design collaboration, thus 5 stars.

Powerful and Clear !

Okay, I own 2 QSC153s and they are phenomenal cabinets that we use for mains. We have a 5 piece high energy rock band.Had the JBL 735s and returned them. Very cheaply built. So then got the QSCs. and they kick butt !! Then I went out looking for a back up active speaker that could be used in a pinch in the off chance one of the mains had an issue.{which would really be an off chance. The QSCs are rock solid!} Figured I would use an extra speaker as a powerful monitor. Enter the Yamaha DXR15. Wow I was surprised at how powerful and clear they are with Great bass response. Just to check it out I put the DXR on one side of the room and the QSC153 on the other. Sounded fantastic ! {Held it's own} The mids in the QSC gave it the edge but I am impressed with the DXR. So much that I bought another one to pair with the QSCs for bigger shows and since we have two Yamaha DXS15's subs to sit the DXR's on, it's a Wall Of Sound !! Great gear !

Pros: Sturdy,Sounds very loud and great clarity, with strong bass

Cons: None

Great Speaker

Bought this as a tailgate speaker. Definitely loud enough, and the built in mixer lets us yell into the mic while playing music. I wish it had a USB power output to power our Bluetooth receiver (or built in bluetooth) but it's not a big deal. Runs great off our power inverter.
