Excellent karaoke mixer replacement!

I replaced my old and discontinued Berhinger minimix 800 karaoke mixer with this Yamaha MG06X. I'm very satisfied with its digital sound effects especially the reverb. Many karaoke mixers only have echo effect. I also like how I can control sound from clipping and filter mic high pass filter to 80 Hz. It's built solidly and clean sounding.

Pequeña pero muy bien equipada

Soy pianista y buscaba una consola pequeña con por lo menos 4 canales, para conectar mi Nord Piano (estereo) un micrófono y un IPod para tener música en los recesos. Después de evaluar varias alternativas, elegí la Yamaha MG06x porque comparada con las demás era la más completa. Un total de 6 canales (mono) o puede usarse como 3 estereos; dos entradas de micrófono, equalizador, Phantom, 6 efectos, entre otras cosas. Sin embargo lo más que me impresiona es la potencia del "preamp" de los canales para micrófonos y la calidad del sonido. Sumamente silenciosa, a diferencia de consolas que cuando se conectan se escucha un zumbido constante. Los efectos son básicos, sin embargo suenan muy bien (especialmente el "plate" ) comparado con otras consolas que incluso cuestan mucho más. Los botones se siente sólidos como los de una consola profesional y la construcción en general se ve fuerte. Un amigo que es ingeniero de grabación fue quien me la recomendó ( pues había leído varias reseñas positivas) sin embargo no la había escuchado. Cuando él la escuchó le impresionó la calidad del sonido. Otro detalle es el "POWER supply" es liviano y compacto. En resumen, es una excelente opción para quien quiere algo compacto pero con una buena calidad de sonido, cuando comparamos con otras consolas, definitivamente es la mejor compra por precio. I am a pianist and was looking for a small mixer with at least 4 channels to connect my (stereo) Nord Piano, a microphone, and an iPod to have music during my down time. After looking at various options, I chose the Yamaha MG06X because it was the most complete of them all -- with a total of six channels (mono), which can also be used as 3 stereo channels; two microphone inputs, equalizer, phantom power, and six digital effects among other things. Still, what impressed me the most was the power of the microphone preamps and the sound quality. Unlike other mixers that produce a constant hum when connected, this one is extremely quiet. The effects are basic but nevertheless sound great (especially the "plate") compared to other more expensive mixers. The buttons are solid like one would expect in a professional mixer and the overall construction is sturdy. A friend who is a recording engineer recommended this mixer to me, saying he had read several positive reviews although he had never heard it. When he did hear it he was impressed by the sound quality. Another point is that the power supply is light and compact. In sum, it's an excellent option for those looking for something compact but with good sound quality. When we compared it to other mixers, this one is definitely the best value for the price.
