Full-range sound from a shallow-mount speaker
Yamaha VXC5F speakers help to provide background music and live paging for small businesses, and they're designed to fit in tight spaces. Each driver goes just 5-11/16" deep in your ceiling or wall, but provides a full-range cone driver with wide coverage and exceptional voice clarity. These speakers feature multi-tap transformers for use with 70-volt or 100-volt audio systems, while an 8-ohm bypass setting allows use with regular home audio receivers and amps.

Features
VXC-F Series: The VXC-F series in-ceiling speakers feature low profile back boxes, reduced weight, and mechanical features that contribute to significantly safer, faster installation.
Full-Range Driver: The VXC-F series in-ceiling speakers employ a full-range 4.5" driver that offers broad coverage, allowing large areas to be covered by a relatively small number of in-ceiling speakers. The small diameter driver and shallow back box volume have been painstakingly matched to achieve well-balanced reproduction from low to high frequencies even at low output levels.
Shallow Back Box: The in-ceiling speakers' shallow back box contributes to a low-profile design that installs easily in limited ceiling spaces. Reduced physical depth allows installation in ceilings where space is limited. Reduced weight increases installation flexibility while lessening the burden on installation personnel.
70V/100V Compatible: The VXC-F series in-ceiling speakers include a 30W multi-tap transformer for use in either 70V or 100V distributed-line systems. Taps are selected with a rotary switch conveniently located on the front panel, but protected under the grille, so that the speaker does not have to be removed to adjust tap settings.
- 70V Taps: 30W, 15W, 7.5W, 3.8W
- 100V Taps: 30W, 15W
Note: The speaker is also switchable for 8-ohm voice-coil direct operation.
Euroblock Connectors: Input connection is conveniently provided by a removable euroblock connector (4-pin), providing secure connection via screw-down terminals and allowing a system to be pre-wired before installing the speaker for fast snap-on convenience. Separate connector terminals are available for the input and for the loop-through wires, making it easy to jumper the speaker signal to additional speakers. The input terminal plate provides strain relief for bare wire (up to 12 AWG) and conduit tube (up to 0.5"). The terminal box is securely enclosed to meet safety codes. You will need to remove 3 philips-head screws to access connector terminals.
- Input Terminals: Terminals 2 (+) and 3 (-) are the input terminals of the loudspeaker.
- Loop-Thru Terminals: Terminals 1 (+) and 4 (-) are the loop-thru terminals to output connection to other speakers.
Simple & Secure Installation: The VXC-F in-ceiling speakers feature low profile back boxes, reduced weight, and mechanical features that contribute to significantly safer, faster installation. Double threaded screws used for the speaker clamp mechanism allow the clamps to be tightened twice as fast as conventional screws. Additionally, VXC Series speakers also come complete with O-rings and tile rails for a safer, smoother installation. An anti-drop tab mechanism securely holds the speaker in place so that the installation can proceed safely and efficiently. There's also a release lever that allows the speaker to be smoothly removed from the ceiling as required.
- Cutout Diameter: Requires a round cutout that measures 11.25" in diameter
- Mounting Depth: Requires a mounting depth above the ceiling of 5.25".
Paintable Grilles: The supplied grilles can be painted any color to match interior decor. The supplied speaker grilles are firmly and elegantly held in place by powerful magnets. An anti-drop wire is also included.
Carry Band: A built-in "carrying band" not only makes the speaker easy to carry around, but also increases safety when working on a stepladder.
