VXC Series: Yamaha developed the VXC series in-ceiling
speakers to accommodate a
growing list of applications in the installation market. While these
speakers deliver quintessential Yamaha sound quality, they have also
been carefully designed for safe and easy installation. From the
networking components and the materials used for wiring and soldering,
right down to the optimal placement of acoustic absorption material, a
great deal of attention has been paid to even the smallest details of
the VXC series' design.
Two-Way Driver Design: The VXC series in-ceiling
loudspeaker features a newly customized 1" soft dome tweeter and a 8"
cone woofer capable of
providing superb music reproduction as well as crystal clear
announcements for public address applications.
Bass Flex Tuned Cabinet: The in-ceiling speakers' cabinets are
built tough to meet the demands of a wide variety of commercial
environments, constructed from a carefully selected plastic with just
the right tensile strength, and designed with optimized bass-reflex
tuning to offer a firm, tight low-end.
Paintable Speaker Grilles: The VXC series in-ceiling
loudspeaker is available in black or white. In situations where the
speakers are to be painted to match existing décor, it is only necessary
to paint the grilles. The painted grilles then easily attach to the
previously installed speaker, notably improving installation efficiency.
VXC Series grilles simply twist into place.
Euroblock Connectors: Input connection is conveniently
provided by a removable euroblock connector (4-pin), providing secure
connection via screw-down terminals and allowing a system to be
pre-wired before installing the speaker for fast snap-on convenience.
Separate connector terminals are available for the input and for the
loop-through wires, making it easy to jumper the speaker signal to
additional speakers. The input terminal plate provides strain relief for
bare wire (up to 12 AWG) and conduit tube (up to 0.5"). The terminal box is securely enclosed to meet
safety codes. You will need to remove a philips-head screw to access
- Input Terminals: Terminals 2 (+) and 3 (-) are
the input terminals of the loudspeaker.
- Loop-Thru Terminals: Terminals 1 (+) and 4 (-)
are the loop-thru terminals to output connection to other speakers.
70V/100V Compatible: The VXC series in-ceiling
speakers include a 60W multi-tap transformer for use in either 70V or
100V distributed-line systems. Taps are selected with a rotary switch
conveniently located on the front panel, but protected under the grille,
so that the speaker does not have to be removed to adjust tap settings.
- 70V Taps: 60W, 30W, 15W, 7.5W
- 100V Taps: 60W, 30W, 15W
Note: The speaker is also switchable for 8-ohm voice-coil direct
Safe & Seamless Installation: The VXC series in-ceiling
speakers' Anti-Drop tab allows them to be mounted temporarily in the
ceiling, freeing your hands for better safety and ease of installation.
Double threaded screws used for the speaker clamp mechanism allow the
clamps to be tightened twice as fast as conventional screws.
Additionally, VXC Series speakers also come complete with O-rings and
tile rails for a safer, smoother installation.
- Cutout Diameter: Requires a round cutout that measures11" in diameter
- Mounting Depth: Requires a mounting depth above the
ceiling of 9.5".
Built-In Carry Band: An attached, flexible carrying band also
makes the speakers very portable, allowing you to carry multiple
speakers at once safely.
