Makes a Huge Improvement on the Sound
George from Franklin, MA on 9/15/2022
I bought this to replace an old MXR Graphic Equalizer. With the help of Crutchfield technical support, I was able to hook the unit up to an old vintage stereo. The one thing I wish this dbx unit had was additional ports like my old MXR unit had. The additional ports allowed me to hook up tape decks to the unit. Besides this point, the unit greatly improves the sound of my system which is the primary reason I purchased it.

My old Kenwood eq died after 39 years of being abused. I bought the DBX1215 and IT ROCKS. This is a killer eq and don't hesitate to get it when they become available again. Special thanks to Kevin for assisting me with the purchase.
Pros: Great eq
Cons: None

Added Bonus!
Sam from Glenolden,Pa on 7/4/2016
When the unit is off the signal will pass through unaffected which is a nice feature. Many EQ's will not do this. Rests flat so unit can be used as a stand-alone component or stack. The recessed buttons as safety feature is a problem however. You cannot push them fully with a finger. You have to use an implement. Not sure the channel gain controls are necessary but allows for more signal level control,.. a plus. Rear panel barrier strip would have been better served with RCA terminals for consumers. Sturdy, good looks and performs well. This unit gets it right with the frequency range going beyond the audible level. Thumbs up. By comparison it's the best on the market. I hope the functionality improves with the next model to make it even better.
Pros: Performs well. Sturdy construction. Good addition to home or studio. Best frequency range on the market. Best by comparison.
Cons: Recessed buttons are too deep. Could benefit with dim slider lights. This is a pro component and does not have RCA jacks

dbx 1215
Ricardo from Puerto Rico on 10/30/2015
I bought this equipment to substitute a Pyle equalizer in my home stereo. There is no comparison. This new equalizer is much better. The distortion in the high range is extremely low. The sound is clear and the controls are easy to use. I had two pairs of speakers (JBL and Infinity) and they sound great with the addition of the dbx. I certainly recommend this product.
Pros: Great sound, easy to install, and easy to use.
Cons: None
