Overview: The Wet Sounds WS-4Z-RGB Remote is a 4-zone controller for LED lights for your boat or RV. It was co-developed by Wet Sounds and Shadow-Caster, a manufacturer of under water and above water boat lights. The WS-4Z-RGB Remote is designed to be used in conjunction with the Wet Sounds WS-4Z-RGB-BB "black box" RGB lighting relay box (sold separately), letting you control four separate zones, either individually or simultaneously. You can change the color and brightness of the lights, or set the lights to "dance" to music. The kit includes the 3.64" diameter remote with mounting hardware and a 20" 4-wire harness.

Note: The WS-4Z-RGB Remote is not a stand-alone device and requires the WS-4Z-RGB-BB lighting relay box for operation.

Remote: The dash- or console-mountable Remote is made with a UV-stabilized polycarbonate cover with a stainless steel bezel, and a machined aluminum rear housing. The Remote can be installed in a standard 3" gauge opening and requires approximately 3.88" of mounting depth. Its 16 backlit silicone buttons can perform the following commands:

All / Off: One press of the All button turns on the controller. Pressing it again returns all connected lights to the previous setting. The Off button turns off the lights in all zones, or, if preceded by a zone number, turns off the designated zone.
1-4: Four numeral buttons are provided for selecting each of the four lighting zones. The backlighting of the button will match the selected color and mode of that zone.
White, Red, Green, Blue: Buttons are provided for the available colors of lights. Pressing and releasing a color button will turn on the lights at full intensity. Pressing and holding a color button will cause the lights to fade up from black and stop when the button is released.
Navigation Arrows: Left/right and up/down buttons can shift the color hue, sync the lights with music, strobe the lights, or fade the lights.

Wiring: The included wiring harness has a 4-pin connector with locking-collar that plugs into the back of the Remote. The harness has the following wires:

Power/Ground: 20" Red and Black wires connect to +12VDC power source and ground.
Shadow-NET (x2): 20" Green and Yellow/Green wires get connected to the WS-4Z-RGB-BB lighting relay box CAN + and CAN - wires.
- Note: Both of these wires are double-insulated. The Green wire is inside an outer Orange layer and the Yellow/Green is inside an outer Yellow layer.

What power source should be used for the remote? The WS-4Z-RGB-BB needs a 50 amp breaker, should this remote controller also be wired to the breaker? Or on its own fuse, and if so what size fuse? Directions not clear, thank you.
