Wet Sounds' 808 Series speakers give you powerful sound and remarkable versatility. Designed for larger boats that can handle larger speakers, the SW-808-W convertible component speaker system lets you choose the best spot on your boat for its 1" titanium dome tweeters.
You can mount the tweeter in the center of the 8" speaker's UV-resistant grille, or go for the classic component installation by using the included flush- or surface-mount cups. Either way, you'll get terrific sound and outstanding details, thanks to the crossover network that's integrated into the woofer's frame.

Like all Wet Sounds gear, 808 Series speakers are designed to survive and thrive on the water. The woofer's frame and grille are made from Nylas, a seriously rugged nylon/fiberglass blend that can take the pounding of a long day of wake-hopping. Each speaker features a rubber spider, surround, and magnet boot for long-lasting water resistance you can count on when the weather gets rough or the spray gets high.

Features
Overview: The Wet Sounds SW-808-W marine speaker is a convertible component speaker system. The speaker has an 8" cone woofer and a 1" titanium tweeter that can be mounted coaxially, or removed and mounted component style.
Nylas Frame/Grille: The frame and grills are made of a composite mix of Nylon and fiberglass called Nylas, that improves the stability and strength of the speaker in the marine environment.
Woofer: The SW-808-W has a white polypropylene cone woofer with a rubber surround and rubber spider. These materials are highly resistant to corrosion caused by the harsh marine environment, and do not deteriorate over time.
Tweeter: The speaker has a 1" titanium tweeter that is mounted in a rear-sealed chassis. It has a attached 6" speaker wire with a 2-pin plug. Out of the box, the tweeter is mounted coaxially to the center of the speaker grille. The tweeter is protected by its own white sportsman-style grille.
Convertibility: The tweeter can be removed from the speaker's grille and mounted separately as a component tweeter. Flush-mount and surface mount cups are provided for mounting the tweeter. A 32" extension wire plugs into the tweeter's 6" pigtail to allow you to separate the tweeter from the woofer.
