About the Wet Sounds WW-BT UR
Simple is good
Simple is good
Bluetooth connectivity is a good thing to have. And if your current receiver doesn't offer that feature, you'll be happy to have this marine-rated Bluetooth universal receiver from Wet Sounds.
Easy to set up and use
There's nothing complicated about the WW-BT-UR, which is kind of refreshing, really. This compact device gets the signal from your Bluetooth device and sends it to any radio with an AUX input or any amplifier with low-level inputs. You control everything — volume, track selection, play/pause — from your device. Indicator lights inside the translucent case let you know what's going on. The blue light indicates Bluetooth pairing status, while the red light indicates amp status.
Made for the outdoors
The WW-BT-UR mounts pretty much anywhere and it's made for outdoor use, so it'll stand up to pouring rain or pounding sunlight. And it's battery-friendly – if the music pauses for more than 10-20 seconds, it'll turn off your amp until you wake it up again.

More details on the Wet Sounds WW-BT UR
Overview: The WetSounds WW-BT-UR universal Bluetooth receiver can pair and stream music from most Bluetooth enabled devices. It carries an IPX6 waterproof rating and is compact enough to be mounted or tucked away just about anywhere.
Audio Output: The Bluetooth receiver features a female 3.5mm audio output jack, on an 18" lead, for sending the received audio out to a head unit with an AUX input, or to an amplifier or powered speaker that can accept low-level signals.
Note: No audio cables are included for connection.
Control: The WW-BT-UR is control-less. All playback functions, such as Volume, Track, and Play/Pause are performed on the Bluetooth playback device.
Remote Turn-On: The Bluetooth receiver includes a blue 18" Remote Out lead for activating an outboard amplifier. When the BT receiver is powered on (receiving an audio signal), it will output 12VDC on this wire. If the music is paused for more than 10-20 seconds, the remote output will shut off to save power, re-activating when playback is resumed. The WW-BT-UR features a red LED indicator that lights when the unit is outputting 12V on the turn-on lead.
Pairing: When the unit is first powered on, the blue front-panel LED will blink, indicating it's in pairing mode. Search for WW-BT-UR from your Bluetooth enabled device for connection. Once connected, the blue LED will go solid.
Indicators: Hidden underneath the Bluetooth receiver's translucent front casing are two LED indicators:
- Blue: This LED will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode. Will go solid when paired.
- Red: This LED lights when the unit is supplying 12VDC to the Remote Out wire.
Mounting: The WW-BT-UR has no controls that need to be adjusted, and it emits virtually no heat, so it can be mounted in a hidden or inaccessible location, although it may be helpful to have the front-panel LEDs visible. Its light weight makes it easy to install with double-stick tape, wire-ties, or screws using the two side tabs (mounting hardware not included).
Wiring: All wiring for the WW-BT-UR is permanently connected to the module, and is approximately 18" in length.
- Red: +12VDC Switched power
- Black: Chassis ground
- Blue: +12VDC Remote Output
