The stand features a touch-sensitive metal band. Tap once to turn the soft, white light on or off. Leave your finger on the band to adjust the brightness of the light. The light gets diffused by the bottom of the Play:1, creating a warm, ambient glow.

Excellent Complement

Ok, aesthetically speaking this stand does justice to the Sonos, it is a beautiful thing to look and it won over my wife which as we know is very important. The touch sensitivity feature does take a bit of practice and of course it has wires which I wanted to get away from but I'm sure that would impact product reliability. All in all an excellent complement to my speakers.
Pros: Well designed fit and finish
Cons: Touch sensitivity takes a bit of getting used to.

The Flexon Illuminated Stand for Sonos Play One is a quality built accessory for my SONOS speaker. It holds the speaker at an angle that allows It optimum sound projection. The only "issue" is the light itself. It is very adjustable, but it is a harsh white light. Good for a desk light, too harsh for my use. I do love how the stand holds the speaker and use it with the light off most of the time.
Pros: Well constructed Holds speaker at a good angle. USB charging capabilities.
Cons: Harsh white light.

The quality aspects of the stand are very good and the lighting feature is great as well. One key issue is that the power chord for the Sonos 1 speaker gets loosened at time due to no pressure remaining on the chord when it is installed on the stand.

Works as designed - USB ports and light switch are nice, however, the touch controls take a little bit of time to get used to and the directions aren't very well laid out on the instruction card. Overall a good buy for what I paid for it.
Pros: USB ports, lighting switch, works as described.
Cons: Clunky tough sensor for lights. Charger, being modular, is clunkier than it should be and takes up more space than necessary as a result.
