Unique headphone design that delivers the goods
Audeze's iSINE 10 headphones (and their sibling iSINE 20s) feature a break-through design unlike anything we've ever carried. The company shrunk their planar magnetic drivers – which are traditionally found inside their large, bulky over-ear headphones – and fit them into a compact in-ear design.
They've also included a detachable Apple® Lightning cable with its own built-in 24-bit DAC, so you can plug them directly into the newest iPhone® or iPad®. (You'll find a traditional 3.5mm cable, too.) But before I get too far into the innovations, I'd like to focus on what I consider their number one killer feature: the sound.
I heard crystal clear, wide-open sound
I've never been a big fan of in-ear headphones. Maybe I'm biased by bad experiences with the generic earbuds that come in the box with a smartphone. But I immediately recognized that the iSINE 10s are a far-superior breed — and they got better the more I listened. Connected via the Lightning cable to my wife's iPhone, these headphones sounded even more spacious than a lot of the over-ears I've tried. The sound is transparent, with powerful, finely detailed bass and sparkling highs.
“Moonlight Mile” by the Rolling Stones really helped show off these strengths. The opening acoustic guitar licks started only in my right ear, far off in the distance. As the other instruments and soft background vocals picked up, the entire soundstage shifted to front-and-center. Then when the string arrangement and Mick's lead vocal kicked in, the clarity was almost startling. I could picture the percussion, piano, and guitars all coming from different places.
Planar-magnetic drivers: the basics
So how do planar magnetic headphones usually work? A large yet ultra-thin diaphragm is suspended within a magnetic field. It is covered with a flexible circuit. When the circuit receives an audio signal, the diaphragm moves back and forth to create sound. It starts and stops rapidly for clean and accurate sound across a wide frequency range.
How did Audeze fit that technology into an earbud?
The diaphragms used in the iSINE 10s are a fraction of the size used in most planar magnetic 'phones. Still, you can probably tell from the pictures that these headphones are bigger than most in-ear models. You stick the earbuds in your ears while the planar drivers actually sit outside.
To make up for the loss in diaphragm size, Audeze uses their super-powerful Fluxor magnets to provide quicker movement. These magnets are nearly double the power of a traditional magnet, making the iSINE 10 drivers incredibly efficient.
The included plastic hooks help secure the lightweight earpieces.
More than just a Lightning cable
Audeze's "Cipher" Lightning cable offers more than just a way to play with the iPhone 7 or other Apple device. You also get a built-in DAC and headphone amp that Audeze has precisely matched to these drivers. This means you get serious punch and clarity, just by plugging into your phone.
A tricky fit at first, but it grew on me
I'll admit, it took a few minutes for me to get used to those drivers sitting outside my ears. It was so different than anything I had worn. But the headphones felt much lighter than I expected, especially when secured to my ear with the included plastic hook.
I liked using those hooks because they kept the earpieces stable as I moved my head around. You can also use choose from two sizes of soft inner-ear loops that keep them in place. All of the accessories and cables fit inside a magnet-sealed carrying case. You can quickly pack them up for travel, then reassemble them when you want to listen — like a cool James Bond gadget.

Audeze iSINE 10 reviews
I bought these based upon reading reviews. I figured if I wasn't 100% thrilled I could return them. I have plenty of in-ear quality ear buds -was looking for something a little nicer for travel -and hotel room use. When they arrived I was impatient and just plugged them into my dedicated desktop (Mac Mini using Fidelia & playing FLAC files) Yggdrasil multi-bit DAC and headphone amp components. I was floored. Usually I use my Audeze LCD2, Senn 700's or HiFi man's HE-560 headphones on this component setup. These iSine 10's are amazing -right out of the box the soundstage is wide -detail impressive -and bass (once properly fitted/adjusted to your ears) is excellent. Tried them on my iPhone X with the downloadable Audeze EQ app -and even with just music from my iTunes library was impressed. For not a lot of money these little Audeze ear buds are a huge value and hold their own against much more expensive kit. Highly recommended.
Pros: Wide soundstage and detail -excellent bass and easy to drive.
Cons: Takes a bit of time to get them adjusted to your ears and with the ear clips attached they don't fit in the holder without removing them first.

These in ear headphones are hands down the best I have owned. The soudstage is excellent as well as the bass, treble and midrange. I highly recommend getting a set, if you don't already. You will be amazed at what you hear.
Pros: Great price. Incredible soundstage. App for more detailed listening. Carrying case.

Very clear sound across all ranges of music with good depth of bass for all but the most die-hard bassheads (which I am not). Hard to believe you can get this performance in such small units. This is my second pair (first lost while traveling), I might have given 4 stars previously because the ear hooks can get uncomfortable after a few hours (and broke off at connection point), but with the price reduction I have to acknowledge the value for cost. Well suited for those of us where earbuds tend to fall out.
Pros: Clear sound, very flexible in character, appreciate the interchangeable cables. Nice innovations.
Cons: Can use better isolation (swapped in foam tips), ear hooks can get uncomfortable and can also break off where they connect to the unit.

I was browsing Crutchfield and the iSINE10 were on special. After chatting with one of the specialists, I decided to give the iSINE 10 a try. I've owned shure, Westone, Bowers & Wilkins and many others. They eventually end up in a drawer. Most of the time I find them too uncomfortable for extended use. My consultant was Jolene she said she used her iSINE 10s for work and didn't experience ear fatigue. Crutchfield has a great return policy so I figured what the heck. Let's give them a try and if I don't like them, I'll just return them. I figured there was a 75% chance of returning these headphones / earbuds. I don't put a high priority on packaging but it was excellent. When I got everything together and listened to Pandora for the first time..I got chills up my spine. Now I'm excited. The sounds are crystal clear the bass is strong without being overpowering. Listening to music is an experience with the iSINE10. I've listen to music...but rarely do I experience music. There is a difference. I don't know if these are headphones or earbuds...they're big earbuds or super tiny headphones. The sound...the sound..is amazing. I like techno, trance, and Spanish guitar..I am impressed and very pleased with the sound. The fit: After a few hours I've finally got them dialed. Now they don't stress my ears and after 10 hours are still comfortable. Microphone..I used the iSINE10 for several conference calls. They worked well. No issues. Overall..I love the iSINE 10. Best deal ever.
Pros: Amazing Sound Crutchfield guarantee Best I've ever experienced Can be used for music or for work
Cons: You have to play with the fit accessories.

These IE planarmagnetic phones truly do sound like full sized headphones, without the bulk, allowing for more dome freedom...for hat wearing or general breeze feeling. After 80 hrs of listening, daily for at least 4-6hrs, I'm ready to share my impressions. First my ears feel healthy, unfatigued and headache free. Not listening during the break-in period is best for me. Finding the right fit had a learning curve, but nothing patience and trial will yield unexpectedly high results. I tried a lot of tips. With foam the bass was too heavy, I typically use medium tips but for deeper in ear. I prefer the large silicone tips provided. But the bass can be as big as you want it with tip variations. The sound quality, timber, balance are all on par with full sized midrange ($500-1k) headphones. Meaning excellent sound reproduction, leaving only the last 5% of refinement that occurs at the next tier up. The amp/DAC provided has to also burn in, sounds hotter initially, after which, it sounds really good. Designed and built in the US. The innovations packed into these tiny planars are amazing. From the conical Fizar (I think) soundwave tube that makes up the ear tip to the in cord amp/dac to the shape and fit... all of which are functionally amazing and Audeze innovations. I already recommended to a friend as Crutchfield's price is excellent. I'm a happy user and this was a good buy.
Pros: Innovations, Sound quality, price, made in the USA with as many American parts as possible.
Cons: Learning curve

Incredible sound! I got these to replace B&W C5 (1st gen) headphones that sound great when positioned correctly, but tend to slip resulting in significant bass loss. I found that the ear tips that came installed on the iSINE 10 headphones combined with the smaller "ear locks" result in a secure and comfortable fit. The openness of the soundstage makes you feel like you are in the middle of the performance. Great detail! The DAC/mic/Control is a bit heavy, but using the cable clip seems to alleviate that pull. The graphic equalizer included in the Audeze app helps to fine tune the sound. FYI, I found that the included iPhone cable with the lighting connector does not work when plugged into the lighting cable port in the Apple iPhone 7 smart battery case. You need to remove the phone from the case or use another case that allows you to plug the cable directly into the iPhone lighting port.
Pros: Great sound. Great fit.
Cons: A bit pricey. Incompatibility with Apple iPhone 7 smart battery case.

The Audeze iSine 10 is perfect. I was originally looking for some over ear headphones with great sound quality but decided against it because I wanted to have headphones I can take pretty much anywhere and not look out of place with bulky headphones. The iSine 10 are lightweight and super portable. I spend most of my time with these on while at the gym (running, lifting, stair climber no problem) and then when im out and about. I tried noise cancellation headphones but it was not practical for me, it was only practical when I was pretty much alone and not having to interact with another person. Now for the sound quality...I was and am still blown away from what comes out of these headphones. Just a month ago I was OK with apple headphones and now I have these headphones. It cost a bit of money but the difference is like upgrading your TV to 4k for the first time. There is a ton more detail that is vivid, fluid, and crisp. I would definitely recommend getting the lightning/dac cable for the extra money. I tried both and there is definitely a difference between the two cables, I think mostly because of the DAC. Music files also play an important role in sound quality as well, I currently use Tidal to stream Hifi/Masters. Bottom line: if you're looking for super portable, next tier sound (probably a couple notches), and not looking to spend close a lot of money for headphones then buy these. What these headphones offer at this price will be a very hard act to follow with no doubt.

These are my first Planar magnetic headphones and they are simply amazing. Extremely detailed Mids and Highs. I'm used to slightly more bass as I mostly listen to EDM. I may upgrade to the iSine20's.. You cannot go wrong with these. I use my ITouch with these. The Audeze App was a little glitchy at first but once I performed a firmware upgrade I have not had many issues since. I use the Supplied ear hooks and they work well. The other supplied smaller inner ear hooks not so much.
Pros: Excellent Sound Well detailed Mids and Highs Very light for its size Larger ear hooks work well
Cons: A bit pricey

Overview: The Audeze iSINE is the world's first full-range in-ear planar magnetic headphone. The iSINE 10 comes with two 59" cables--one designed for use with Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, and one universal cable. The headphones come with an assortment of rubber ear tips, and a handy storage case.
Planar Magnetic Technology: The iSINE Series headphones are a miniaturized, in-ear version of Audeze's flagship LCD collection of planar magnetic over-ear headphones. The iSINE 10 features large (30mm) ultra-thin planar magnetic diaphragms with the patented Uniforce voice-coil technology and a single-sided Fluxor magnetic array for greater accuracy and clarity. Even at high volumes, the distortion (THD) is less that 0.1% overall.
CIPHER Cable: The iSINE 10 comes with the award-winning CIPHER Lightning cable, which is especially optimized for the iSINE series and for Apple mobile devices. The cable bypasses the iDevice's internal DAC/amplifier, and streams a 24-bit high resolution signal directly to the in-line module. The module is equipped with a high-quality in-line amplifier, a digital-to-analog converter, and DSP (digital signal processor), plus a 3-button remote and microphone. The CIPHER cable is compatible with Lightning Connector-enabled iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch. A universal audio cable is also included for non-Apple devices.
Audeze App: With the accompanying Audeze app, you can take advantage of a 10-band EQ that lets you adjust the sound in real time. You can adjust the following bands by + or - 10dB: 32Hz, 64Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, and 16kHz. You can save your favorite two EQ curves for later use, as they are stored in a non-volatile memory. The saved EQ curves can be used as you switch from one Apple device to another. The Audeze app requires iOS 8.1 or later, and is available for free download from the Apple iTunes App Store.
Fit: The iSINE 10 is designed to fit into the ear canal. It comes with three pairs (small, medium, large) of silicone ear tips to assure a correct fit. To keep the headphone cable in place, a clothing clip is included.
