About the IsoAcoustics OREA Bordeaux

Eric A.

No bad vibrations allowed

High-end audio components positively thrum with power. That useful energy can also cause unwanted vibration that harms musical fidelity. Each brilliant, simple IsoAcoustics OREA Bordeaux isolator is designed to support up to 32 lbs. when placed under a CD player, power amplifier, turntable, or similar component.

Of course, you'll need more than one to make it balance! We recommend a set of four to place underneath a regular rectangular component.

Features

Orea Series Isolation Foot: IsoAcoustics' Orea Series isolator foot (Bordeaux) provides extraordinary levels of isolation for high fidelity audio components and turntables. Applying patented IsoAcoustics design principles provides the highest degree of vibration isolation and energy management for high fidelity audio components. The Orea Bordeaux eliminates parasitic vibrations, and providing greater sound clarity and focus. The Bordeaux is ideal for heavy-weight components including Amplifiers, DAC's, CD Players, Speakers, and Turntables. Made of machined stainless steel, the Bordeaux has a low-profile design to minimize any increase in height.

  • The upper flange of the OREA Bordeaux is designed to provide a suction cup like effect and adhere to the underside of the component, while the lower flange adheres to the supporting surface. All the energy is managed within the core of the OREA Bordeaux, which is tuned to work within specific weight ranges. This results in greater sound clarity and a more open soundstage providing authentic, three-dimensional sound.
  • The existing feet on an audio component may connect well and fit nicely around the perimeter of the Bordeaux. Alternatively, you may get better performance by either removing the feet entirely or placing the Bordeaux around the existing feet to have them connect directly to the chassis or base of the component.

Dimensions:

  • Diameter: 2.625"
  • Height: 1.4375"
  • Weight Capacity: 32 lbs

Customer Q&A

3 questions already asked

Q
If my amp weighs 32 pounds do I need 4 of these or does each pad support 32 pounds and i should go with a smaller reference?
[ Daniel  Nov 23, 2021 ]

A
Yes, you need one for each corner/foot of your amp.
[ SCOTT  Nov 23, 2021 ]
A
each puck contributes its weight capacity to the total weight of the component. i.e. 4 of these would be 32 x 4, for a supported component weight 128 lbs.
[ ANDREW  Nov 23, 2021 ]
A
I suggest using 4 bronze which support 8# each for a total of 32#.

Q
Would you use this product on a Rega Planar Three P3 Turntable for low end vibrations from my SVS PB 16 ultra sub as well as Hardwood floor vibrations ? or would you recommend another product ?
[ CARL S  Apr 24, 2020 ]

A
I don't know the weight of your turntable, but 4 Bordeaux supports 128#. Either use smaller isolators or use the wood platform made by Isoacoustics specifically for turntables which I think is called Delos.
[ STEPHEN  Nov 23, 2021 ]
A
Yes, I highly recommend this product for your turntable. I'm using 4 of them to isolate a Parasound amplifier that due to space issues is placed on top of an SVS PB-4000. There are zero vibrations with the amp.

The IsoAcoustics Oreas work extremely well at preventing all vibrations to and from devices. I would highly recommend them in every application
[ JASON  Apr 24, 2020 ]

These isoaccoustic pucs ate the best upgrade I have purchased. I had never used an anti-vibration device before and thought the concept was silly. I first used them under my tube amp then under the amps power supply, I was amazed at the improvement in image, clarity and sound stage. I then used them one by one under my turntable, dac, preamp and all outboard power supplies. I use them under my speakers and it was like buying new speakers. So yes, you should use these under your turn table but also buy a set of sub stands you will be amazed! Best Jeff

Q
Only one pad at $79.00 each ? so i will need 4 Iso pads to support my turntable?
[ CHARLES  Jan 06, 2020 ]

A
IsoAcoustics says you can support with 3; but I chose 4 for all my components. I've received great improvements by using these throughout my system. I would encourage you to try them; you will not regret it.
[ JASON  Feb 12, 2020 ]
A
I have an Oracle TT which has (3) support feet, so I only needed (3) isolators. Check the number of support feet on your TT and that is how may isolators you need.
[ David J.  Feb 11, 2020 ]
A
Or three may work. Unless your turntable is very heavy, you probably don't need the Bordeaux for your application and can use a less expensive model. The manufacturer's website has good information about matching pad models to component weight.
