Disappointing Dialogue

Bought this to pair with Bronze 200 left and right and have to disagree with the Crutchfield writer's review. Dialogue is underwhelming (less clear than my TV) and specifically male dialogue which can sound muffled. Since I am already past my return window on the 200s I will likely keep the C150, but wish I would've gone for a different set with a stronger center and better dialogue. On the pros side the speakers look nice, especially the blue/greyish front color.

It sounds great and dialogue is clear...and I love the look of it. Definitely a bit bigger than I'd expected - haha! Great price point too with the Bronze series.

Beautiful but muffled

I wish this speaker had been available for Crutchfield's "compare and listen" feature, as it would have given me an idea of its sound signature. This is a gorgeous speaker with good build quality whose sound I would describe as laid-back. After several hours of burn-in, I had no complaints about its handling of mid-range sounds, and imaging was fine, but to my ears, the higher frequencies sounded muffled, as though someone had put a blanket over an otherwise clear-sounding speaker. This speaker would need to be part of a system with a subwoofer, but I would say the same of any center channel speaker I have ever heard. Obviously, that is a matter of preference. I wanted to love this speaker as much as I loved its looks. Given how important a center channel is to a home theater system, and my preference for a more forward-sounding speaker, I did not like the MA Bronze C150 and returned it. The laid-back sound might be exactly what some people are looking for, but it did not work for me.

Monitor Audio Bronze C150

I bought this center speaker to use with a home theater setup. It does an excellent job of conveying voices and blends well with the matching tower speakers. Everything sounds natural and I no longer have problems hearing the voices in movies and video games. This is a large speaker and with my current projector setup it blocks a small portion of the lower end of the screen. It doesn't bother me much but could be annoying. Shipping was great, I ordered this as replacement for other speakers from a different website that took forever to ship and arrived damaged. I ended up returning those and I got these within two days and with no issues.

Great sounding dialog

Needed to replace my rear ported center channel with one without porting since it will be positioned inside the entertainment unit. This blends well with my B&W left and right channels. Nice clear dialog.
