Audiofrog brings you powerful, versatile subs that are designed to handle today's high-powered amplifiers. Their G Series subs feature a treated paper cone with a rubber surround for long life and high performance, housed in a stamped steel, vented basket for rigidity and durability. Audiofrog's designers focused on creating a tough, reliable sub by by building extra venting into the basket to help cool the voice coils. The pole piece and back plate are also polished and extended to achieve magnetic symmetry above and below the gap. Translation? You'll hear less distortion when you're turning up the bass.

I have a G12D2 in a ported box hooked to a Massive nano amp@4O, it might see 200w rms but it sounds amazing, very tight, very musical. May not be for the guys looking for huge SPL but for the price I can not recommend a better SQ sub woofer. I would suggest a sealed box though.

Pros: Quality. Price. Doesnt take a kigigawatt to be happy. Small-ish boutique american company (shop local when possible). Classy looking sub, no skulls no flames no logos. Manual is awesome too.

Cons: ...

very good subs

awesome subs. running them at 4 ohms with a bridged Rockford 4 channel amp. I know that's not the norm but was looking for sound quality. pushing around 250 watts to each. they sound great. they hit pretty hard even in a smaller box. they are in a ram quad cab which means there isn't a lot of room under the seat. I also have them paired with other gs series products. all together its a homerun.

Pros: fit in my box good.

Cons: none

Features

Dual Voice Coils: This woofer features two 2Ω voice coils, allowing impedance flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 1Ω load. When the voice coils are wired in series, the woofer presents a 4Ω load.

Binding Posts: The binding post wire terminals will accept pin connectors, spade lugs, single banana plugs, and bare wire up to 8-gauge. The binding posts are spaced too far apart to accept standard dual banana plugs (3/4").

Sealed Box Volume: The recommended sealed box volume range is from 0.75 ft³ to 1.25 ft³, with 1.02 ft³ being the ideal size. A sealed enclosure design gives the smoothest response with increased energy at the lowest frequencies.

Ported Box Volume: The recommended ported box volume range is from 1.35 ft³ to 2.5 ft³. The ideal size is 1.5 ft³, for which both slot and tube style port measurements are given; both result in a tuning frequency of 33 Hz:

  • Slot: 12.5" x 1.5" opening, 22" long
  • Tube: 4" diameter x 16" long

Power Handling: Audiofrog lists two RMS power figures in the manual; 250 watts RMS in the technical specifications section and 100-600 watts RMS in the recommendations section. We've listed the recommended range in the specs table.
