I am sold on Nest products in general (Hello, Protect, Detect, Thermostats), so adding an outdoor camera during the BF sales was an easy decision. Once installed, everything is working well, just as I expect from Nest. The installation went OK, but there were a couple aspects of the install that made it take a little longer than expected. My particular install requires that the camera be mounted on a wall under my 2nd floor deck, but aiming to the left to see my back door. The magnetic mount is very secure when the camera faces straight ahead or is angled a small amount, but due to the extreme angle that my install required, the magnet looses a bit of grip. It is still secure, but due to the thickness of the cables, it was tricky to secure the cable to the wall with the supplied clamps while not causing the camera to be pulled out of the optimum viewing position. That required a fair amount of back and forth, made a bit more difficult by the grip that the supplied clamps apply to the cable. It was difficult to slide the cable through the clamps to allow for enough slack so as to not pull the camera out of position. Once the camera was mounted and the cabling adjacent to the camera was properly dressed, the rest of the install went smoothly. These issues will likely be non-issues for installations that allow the camera to be facing forward or angled a small amount, and in reality they were in no way show stoppers.
Pros: Great image quality. Seamless integration within the Nest ecosystem. A good supply of screws, clamps and wall anchors is provided. Well thought out USB power supply. Plenty of pre-terminated cable.
Cons: Supplied cables were somewhat stiff, and the cable clamps do not allow the cable to slide easily when dressing the cables. Magnetic mount not as secure as expected when the camera needs to be positioned at a large angle.

Works great. I now have 5 Nest Cams. Better than a burglar alarm.

I just installed two of these camera's in my cabin up North about 175 miles. It took me about 30 minutes to drill through my over hang on my garage to wire them in to a outlet. I live in Wisconsin and during Winter it get below zero up there so I did not want the batteries one. the other one I placed inside my cabin and just plugged it in. I did that in case some one breaks in from the rear of the house. While at the cabin you can un plug the camera if you allow others to see them. The picture is out standing and the night vision is out standing as well. I have seen so many animals that I have never seen in the 30 yrs I have owned the cabin. I researched camera's before I bought these and I found these to be one of the best. They are not cheep but they sure do work. The camera's also alert you if some one or some thing comes into the picture or you can turn that system off. For a small fee a year you can capture your views for 30 days before they get erased . You can also print the pictures or sent them to friends by e-mail. You will not be disappointed with this system. I'm going to buy some for my other house as soon as they go on sale.
Pros: Best camera's on the market.
Cons: None that I have found yet.

Crutchfield's shipping was very fast on an item that just came out and no one except for Nest had it in stock yet. This is an amazing outdoor camera. It has been through several downpours and thunderstorms and still showing very good video. The install was quick and easy.
Pros: fast and easy install, can withstand big rain storms and still give great video.
Cons: Just one, that I wish the back of the camera's magnetic base would cover more due to the location of install on certain places of my home you really got to turn the camera on the base until you feel the magnetic pull give way then back off just a little.
