Nest x Yale Lock with Nest Connect
Nicholas from Washington, DC on 9/28/2022
The lock installed easily and has worked great so far. It's really easy to control with the Nest app (which we already used for our thermostats), especially creating new codes for guests.
Pros: Easy install Functions well through the Nest app

Crutchfield customer from Madison, CT on 1/26/2021
I received the Yale lock for Christmas, After some minor problems with the strike plate the Yale locks have worked faultlessly! I have the google doorbell camera, smoke detectors, wifi booster, and thermostat. my experience with the Google and Nest product line has been terrific . Thanks Crutchfield for their technical support. Kevin Stratton

No backup key
Crutchfield customer from Charlottesville, VA on 12/15/2019
So far so good, no backup key. The setup is far more complicated than expected and I work in tech. Typical of google products it requires you to set it up through google home in addition to the Yale app.
Pros: Feedback, remote monitoring and locking
Cons: No backup key beyond the 9V battery jump start.

Product is easy to install. Looks and works great. Highly recommended.
Pros: Easy to use. Very convenient. Gives peace of mind when you're away from home.
Cons: Be careful with auto lock. You can accidentally shut the door with the plunger extended. There should be a sensor on the opposite side so it doesn't activate when the door is still open.

Great convenience and no more keys in my pocket!
Felix from Ft Lauderdale, FL on 10/3/2018
Very cool lock with convenient features. I like the fact that i do not have to carry around a house key anymore. Just type in your code or unlock from your smart phone and that's it! The install was easy and straight forward, I did not have any issues during the installation. If you have a nest thermostat, your AC automatically goes from Away to home and starts cooling your home. It knows when you get home! It is awesome. I would like the deadbolt to have a bit more thickness to it and also to have the pad automatically illuminate when you get close to it. Other than that, it is a very good product and I would recommend it.
Pros: Convenience Ease of installation Great features
Cons: Deadbolt needs to be a bit thicker Need proximity sensor to automatically illuminate the pad when you get close

Great smart home lock
David from San Antonio, TX on 8/24/2018
I was skeptical about having this kind of lock on my front but i got to say this lock has already been helpful in letting family in without a key as well and not having to worry about getting your keys out to get into your house. It only took 10 min to install and installation as well as set up was a breeze. My favorite feature is the notifications sent to your phone every time the door is locked or unlocked. Allows me to check in on a separate camera facing the door. So far I got to say that this has been an outstanding product and recommend to anyone looking to have a full smart home.
Pros: Different colors to match your door Bright screen Easy install
Cons: Currently not able to lock your door or check the lock with voice commands. (Voice activated personal assistant)

Easy to install and simple to operate. Very convenient now I don't have to hand out keys to my guest, dog sitter, house cleaner. I will replace my garage door lock too once I have tested its long term reliability, maybe after 6 months.

A great lock and easy to install. I would pick up a door lock install kit to cut the holes if your current isn't large enough or its a blank door. It took about 20 minutes to install and setup with my current Nest ecosystem. The only con --> your finger prints will build up on the face, so, you'll need to wipe that from time to time.

Good, but needs a few improvements
Bary from Penngrove, CA on 4/24/2018
Only in use for a week but so far my observations are as follows; 1. Make sure you complete every step to install this into the nest system. Otherwise you will get stuck and have to do a reset and start over. Yep, happened. 2. This really is begging for two features. The first is a proximity sensor to illuminate the keypad as you approach when it's dark. Second, take a clue from the Schlage version and have the keypad require a random code be entered each time to avoid fingerprint memory problems. If one person uses the keypad an unwelcome party can quickly figure out what numbers are used. Otherwise I like the device. Time needs to pass before final judgment, but so far it's doing the job.
Pros: Style, wireless, nest integration, don't need a key any longer.
Cons: Nearly impossible to see in the dark, keypad fingerprint memory is concerning.
