About the Fusion FM-S10SW
Low-end thump and low-profile design
Low-end thump and low-profile design
Fusion FM Series flush-mount subwoofers combine outstanding low-end performance with a low-profile flush-mount design that'll look great in your boat.
A flush-mount fit
This sleek 10" sub has a mounting profile that tops out at 1/8" (3mm), so it'll fit nearly flat and blend right into your boat's interior. Another plus — Fusion's innovative “speaker legs” keep the speaker in place so you don't have to drill holes in your boat.
Power and performance
With power handling up to 120 watts RMS (400 peak), these subs will bring pleasing bass to your music at any volume. Designed by people who love both music and boating, these subs undergo rigorous testing to ensure that they're ready to rock, even in the extremes of a marine environment.
Three-year warranty
As part of Fusion's True Marine™ line, these Signature Series speakers are even backed by a 3-year warranty.

Product Research
Features
True Marine: Fusion describes this subwoofer as True Marine Accredited, meaning it's designed specifically for the marine environment and backed by Fusion's 3 year warranty. The sub is tested to ensure it meets or surpasses IP65 standards (waterproof and dustproof on the front of the speakers).
Mounting: Unlike most marine speakers, the FM-S10SW is designed to mount in a square cutout using eight rotating cam-locks. The cam-locks rotate into place when you start tightening the mounting screws, then clamp over the mounting baffle to securely hold the speaker. The baffle the sub mounts to must be at least ¼" thick, and less than 1" thick. The sub requires a square opening, approximately 10½" x 10½", and a minimum mounting depth of 5½". The cams extend just over ⅝" beyond the speaker frame.
Compass Safe Distance: The minimum distance the sub should be mounted from a compass to avoid any interference is listed in the manual. (Approximately 10½' from the sides, 12½' from the rear, and 11½' from the front)
Speaker Terminals: The subwoofer has a four inch length of speaker wire attached, terminated with male quick slides (0.25" positive and 0.187" negative).
2.1 Channel Operation: This subwoofer features dual 2Ω voice coils, preconfigured to present a 4Ω load. You can change the wiring configuration to support 2.1 channel operation (two full range speakers and one sub) when connected to a Fusion stereo with DSP capability, such as an Apollo RA770.
Enclosure: Fusion recommends a 40 liter (1.41 ft³) sealed enclosure, fully filled with absorption material.
Power Handling: Fusion lists two RMS power figures in the manual; RMS Power of 120 watts, and a Recommended Amplifier Power range of 40-300 watts RMS per channel.
