About the Fusion MS-FR6022
Audiophile speakers for your boat
Audiophile speakers for your boat
Adapting a speaker design to the demands of marine use is one thing, but designing a speaker specifically for life on the water is something else entirely. That's what Fusion did with their line of full-range marine speakers. These innovative designs combine smart thinking with durable components to create great-sounding speakers that stand up to the elements.
New tech means nice sound
Fusion's MS-FR6022 2-way marine speakers feature "Curv" technology, a new concept in speaker cone design. Each 6" woofer uses a woven fiber composite which is heat-pressed to form a very light, very strong cone that provides greater sound definition and higher output. Fusion adds a titanium tweeter dome to these marine speakers for true audiophile-quality performance. The package includes three different pairs of speaker grilles (black, white, and grey spoke), so your Fusion speakers will blend into almost any vessel's décor.
Made for marine use
These Fusion speakers comply with international ASTM Standards for UV Stability (ASTM-D4329) and Salt/Fog Resistance (ASTM-B117), not to mention IP65 waterproofing and dustproofing standards. In other words, they'll keep on rockin', despite moisture, heat, and all the other extremes of life on a boat. These high-efficiency speakers are also easier on your boat's batteries, and they won't interfere with your boat's navigational equipment.
Designed specifically for the rigors of the marine environment, your MS-FR6022 speakers are backed by Fusion's True Marine 3-year warranty.

True Marine: Fusion describes these speakers as True Marine Accredited, meaning they are designed specifically for the marine environment and backed by Fusion's 3 year warranty. The speakers are tested to ensure they meet or surpass IP65 (waterproof and dustproof), ASTM-G154 (UV stability), and ASTM-B117 (salt/fog resistance) standards. The tweeter housing, crossover, and magnet are all sealed.
Curv Woofer Cone: CURV technology incorporates a polypropylene/woven fiber composite, heat pressed to form a lighter and stronger cone. This improves sound definition and increases output, along with creating better resistance to the marine environment.
Size: The MS-FR6022s fit into standard 6-1/2 and 6-3/4 openings (standard car speaker sizes). The frame is bigger than a typical 6-1/2 and the screw hole pattern matches 6-3/4 speakers.
Grilles: Three pair of grilles are included; choose White or Black standard style, or Gray sport style. Turn the grilles slightly counter clockwise to remove.
Stainless Steel Hardware: The provided mounting screws are stainless steel.
Enclosure: Enclosure recommendations are given in the installation manual (an enclosure is not necessary, the speakers will operate in free-air):
- Sealed: 0.43 ft³
- Ported: 0.9 ft³ (with a 2" diameter 1" long port tube)
