About the FUSION MS-NRX200I

Not your average marine remote

A wired remote with an LCD screen is a wonderful thing to have, especially when you're on a larger boat. Knowing which song's playing is great, but it's much more important to know what the weather is doing – or about to do. That's what makes FUSION's MS-NRX200i marine-rated remote control/repeater such a great addition to your vessel's entertainment/information system.

This NMEA 2000-certified remote/repeater can communicate with other NMEA 2000 devices connected to the network. You'll get the multi-zone entertainment control you want, plus important info you need, like depth, speed, and wind direction. With the NRX200i you'll be able to quickly access important NMEA 2000 network data -- all in a device that fits in the palm of your hand. The NRX200i monitors the following data:

Versatile, tough, and easy to install

Installing an MS-NRX200i remote in each of the independent audio zones of your vessel will give you localized zone volume and global source control. You can control each audio zone independently using multiple remotes connected to a compatible FUSION receiver, or manage your whole system from a single remote. Wherever you are, you'll see what you're doing on the multi-line 2.6" LCD screen. The screen makes it easy to access your iPod music library and view track, artist and song information day or night.

The MS-NRX200i features a fully sealed enclosure that's rated IPx5 for water resistance, so it's perfectly happy when used on a swim platform or out on deck in the salt and spray. As a part of FUSION's rugged "True Marine" lineup, it's backed by a 3-year warranty.

This versatile remote is also easy to install. It comes complete with the cabling you'll need to integrate it into an existing NMEA 2000 network. All you need to do is connect the receiver and the MS-NRX200i to the same backbone for instant communication. You'll need an additional cable to connect this remote to FUSION  MS-IP700, MS-AV700 and first-gen MS-RA205 marine receivers: the CAB000860 cable for NMEA 2000 networks or the CAB000859 cable for FUSION audio-only networks.

Excellent remote, full featured, don't forget to update firmware

Darold A from Austin, TX on 6/14/2016

I have a pair of these, one in the helm and one on the swim deck of a Chaparral 220 SSI runabout. After a relatively simple NMEA2000 network installation, the remotes paired up seamlessly with the RA70N head unit. You can assign them to a specific zone or control zones by default by pinning them to one or the other. This is very handy for controlling the tower speakers from the back of the boat and the cabin speakers from the helm. Out of the box I had an issue with the remotes seeing one of the zones and had to call support, they were responded VERY quickly and had the answer within minutes. The manual talks about the need to update the firmware post-install, however it didn't indicate that you need to push firmware from the head unit to the remotes so they are all on the same version. Once I completed this task, everything worked perfectly. The remotes control all the same features the Head Unit does so this was a really nice upgrade to our previous setup.

Pros: Full control of head unit functions from each remote Simple, easy to use interface Comes with NMEA2000 T-connectors and terminators

Cons: Expensive, especially when multiple remotes are needed Instructions didn't indicate that you have to sync firmware with the remotes from the head unit

Boating Stereo Remote

NickO from Staunton, VA on 10/8/2015

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I really like the remote for my boat stereo as it controls most functions of the main unit through the remote. Especially the turning it on and off which is key to my boat with the remote in the drivers area and the stereo on the other side of the boat in a glove box. This allows me to change sources, volume, modes, and on/off without having to get up from my seat. This is especially needed as we pull skiers and having that control for the driver is key when the boarder or skier starts or stops their run.

Pros: Great visibility to the screen. Love the overall fit and finish of the unit. Good instructions to install the unit. Cables to connect to the source unit are included.

Cons: Wish it was wireless so running the cables wasn't a chore to do before using the unit.
