The FUSION MS-RA50's shallow mounting depth gives you plenty of mounting options
This might be everything you need
FUSION designed this compact marine receiver for the boat owner who wants to keep it simple. Mount the FUSION MS-RA50 in your small boat or personal watercraft and you'll have your choice of audio from AM/FM stations, your iPhone, iPod, or MP3 player. Sleek, intuitive controls make navigating sources and music a breeze.
Ideal for iPods and iPhones
If you own a compatible iPhone or an earlier iPod touch, nano, or classic, you'll have full control of your music library viewable on a generous 2.3" LCD display, even under direct sunlight. A chunky rotary dial allows you to scan your music efficiently just like on your iPod. And if you receive a call on your iPhone, the audio will be muted and you'll hear it ringing over your speakers. So, don't worry about missing any calls.
There's always room for music
With a shallow mounting depth of only 2-1/8", you're bound to find a spot to fit the MS-RA50, even in the smallest of boats. But if you do have room to stash an amp, you can connect it via the MS-RA50's pair of preamp outputs. The receiver's fully sealed, aluminum die-cast chassis complies with IPx5 water resistant standards to ensure it will have a long life out on the water.

Marine Certified: The Fusion MS-RA50 is designed and engineered specifically for use on the water, so it complies with IPx5 water resistant standards. The MS-RA50 is also equipped with a rugged electrically isolated aluminum die-cast chassis to maintain isolation between battery negative and the hull of your metal boat. In addition, the chassis of the MS-RA50 acts as a heat sink for the entire stereo, removing the need for an external cooling fan.
Easy-To-Use: Nearly all operations are controlled through the large rotary encoder, ensuring the Fusion MS-RA50's user interface is simple and easy to use. Information and text is easily readable, even under direct sunlight on the large 2.3" LCD screen. The MS-RA50 has adjustable contrast and brightness for optimum viewing.
Note: The LCD screen shuts down automatically after approximately 1 minute of inactivity to reduce battery drain; press any key on the unit to restore the display.
2-Channel Amplifier: The Fusion MS-RA50 is equipped with a 22 watt RMS (40W Peak) x 2 channel stereo amplifier for driving a single pair of full-range marine speakers.
RDS AM/FM Tuner: The MS-RA50 marine stereo features a built-in AM/FM radio that offers manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can store up to 15 FM station presets and 15 AM station presets. The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio broadcast information such as artist & track information when listening to compatible AM/FM stations. You can also select between US and European tuning.
Made For iPod/iPhone: The MS-RA50 features a rear-panel proprietary 8-pin connector which allows you to connect a 30-pin Apple iPod or iPhone using Fusion's MS-IP15L3 iPod connection cable (917IP15L3, sold separately); if you own a Lightning connector Apple iPod/iPhone then you will also need Apple's Lightning to 30-pin adapter (sold separately). The MS-RA50's full integrated iPod user interface provides music browsing by Album, Artist, Song, and Playlist; as well as basic playback functions like Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Rewind, and Previous/Next Track. The unit's front-panel LCD provides song, artist, and album information. While connected to the MS-RA50, your 30-pin Apple iPod or iPhone's battery will charge. Newer iPod/iPhones with iOS 6.0+ allow you to continue to access your Apple device's touchscreen, while older iPod/iPhone devices will be locked during connection.

- *Requires Apple's Lightning to 30-pin adapter (sold separately) in addition to Fusion's MS-IP15L3 iPod connection cable (917IP15L3, sold separately).
- Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is available
Aux Input: Fusion's MS-RA50 marine stereo is fitted with a rear-panel stereo RCA auxiliary input for connecting an external audio device, other than an iPod or iPhone.
3V/2Ch Pre-Out: The Fusion MS-RA50 provides a 3V/2Ch pre-out to connect an external amplifier. There are no separate level or fade controls for this pre-out.
Audio Controls: You can adjust the marine receiver's bass & treble from -12 to +12. You can also balance the sound from left to right. In addition, you can set the head unit's maximum volume limit.
Optional Bluetooth Adapter: Add wireless Bluetooth music streaming to the MS-RA50 marine stereo with Fusion's MS-BT100 Marine Bluetooth Module (917BT100, sold separately). This add-on Bluetooth adapter is for wireless audio streaming only and does not support hands-free phone communication.
Bulkhead Mount: The MS-RA50 requires a rectangular cutout in the bulkhead for inserting the chassis. The marine receiver has a shallow mounting depth, perfect for space conscious installation on small boats and personal watercraft, where this is especially crucial. Four screws (supplied) fasten the faceplate against the mounting surface, and hold the waterproof gasket against the bulkhead. A paper template is supplied to assist you with the cutout and drilling the screw holes. You can install the unit within 45° of horizontal.
- Cutout Width = 5.1875"
- Cutout Height = 2.0625"
- Cutout Depth = 2.75"
- Nose Width = 6.1875"
- Nose Height = 2.6875"
- Nose Depth = 1.25"
Note: The screw holes are spaced 5.5625" (w) x 1.6875" (h) apart.
Optional Gimble Mount: Often in smaller or metal vessel it is not always possible to bulkhead mount this marine stereo. Fusion's optional MS-HUGMS gimble mount (917HUGMS, sold separately) allows the MS-RA50 to be installed easily, and almost anywhere on your vessel. The MS-HUGMS allows you to surface mount the marine stereo and offers angle adjustment.
