Secure, watertight storage for your smartphone
Fusion's rugged MS-UD650 marine digital media receiver gives you outstanding performance, plus the "from the water up" thinking that makes their marine gear stand out from the crowd.
In addition to all the features you'd expect from a top-shelf receiver, the MS-UD650 adds a "Uni-Dock" storage pocket behind the flip-down face. This innovative water-resistant space lets you enjoy the music on your phone or device while keeping it safe, dry, and charged. The generous tray size accommodates a variety of devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone® X.
The MS-UD650 can handle all your entertainment and communications needs when you're out on the water. You can connect the receiver to your NMEA 2000 network and communicate with any Fusion-Link™ certified Multi-Function Display or Fusion NMEA 2000-certified wired remote control (connectors sold separately).
This receiver sports built-in Bluetooth® connectivity, so you can stream music wirelessly using your Apple® or Android smartphone and see track information on the color screen. It supports iPod® or iPhone® audio and you can even enjoy Pandora control with “Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down” voting capability. The rotary encoder handles most controls, and you can see what's playing on the LCD screen.
If you love satellite radio, you can connect a SiriusXM tuner (subscription required) to enjoy music, sports, entertainment, news, and essential weather-related content when you're many miles offshore. And if you store your entertainment library on USB thumb drives or a portable device, you'll find the inputs you need to get connected and get crankin'. With Fusion's innovative Zone Control, you can adjust the volume in up to three distinct zones — a great feature for large vessels or tour boats.
The Fusion-Link remote control app lets you navigate multiple entertainment sources, audio zones, and FUSION receivers connected to the same NMEA2000 network. You can control things via wi-fi using compatible Apple or Android devices or via Bluetooth from compatible Apple devices (Android coming soon).
Fusion built the MS-UD650 for marine duty, but it's also designed for ease of use. The fully-sealed aluminum chassis serves as a solid foundation, while the face and switchgear are IPx5 water-resistant. Designed specifically for the rigors of the marine environment, the MS-UD650 is backed by the Fusion True Marine™ 3-year warranty.
Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Intuitive menus and love the FusionLink app.
Easy to install, easy to use, digital read out is easy to see even with sunglasses on and sound is awesome
Eat marine product out there! Super easy to install, love the sound & Bluetooth!
Pros: Easily installed, looks awesome & super easy to use. Has Bluetooth!
Cons: Can't think of a thing right now!
Very poor design. Hey Fusion people, IF YOU MAKE THE CHASSIS DIN MAKE THE FACE PLATE DIN SIZED TOO. Also doesn't use a DIN cage for mounting, it relies on cheesy back plates that will put undue stress on your dash. To make it worse there is no back strap mount of the rear of the chassis so the rear of the unit is unsupported. A TERRIBLE idea in a marine environment.
Pros: well built
Cons: poorly designed face plate and mounting. Wont fit most Wake-surf boat dash boards because face plate is much too wide.
Purchased this to replace an older Fusion Receiver. It is so much easier to use, has Bluetooth, can be controlled with an app on my iPhone, has SiriusXM, and sounds great!
Best Marine head unit on the market period! Best Real operating RMS if you are not running Amps. I love how easy the unit is to setup and adjust the audio settings. Also the ability to break your boats audio system into three different zones is so Awesome. And the zones can be cut off all together or just run at different volume levels is incredible!
Pros: Looks great and can run three remotes / Big power for a head unit if not running Amps more than any other Marine head unit / Real waterproof Marine head unit most aren't. This by far is the best Marine head unit on the market despite my Cons!
Cons: What I Hated The Most was the way the Stupid remotes connected to the head unit!! The head unit has female connector and so do the remotes! The remote cable has one male and one female connection, so you have to use a T connector for one remote and two T connectors for two remotes which makes for a large wiring mess to try to hide. It's quite larger than a standard head unit! ( Had to heavily modify my boat to make it fit the OEM location) FYI If Your Head Unit Is In A Tight Area.
This new source unit is built to handle the rugged use of boating. The unit installation is made pretty easy with the instructions and the wiring guides. The overall fit and finish of the unit is excellent.
Pros: Rugged, well built, 3 year warranty, good installation guide, and all the necessary wires are included. Like the tray for using an iPhone or Android to offer music while you are boating.
Cons: The tray for your iPhone and Android may become obsolete as you upgrade your phone platform. Not sure if the slide out tray will be of value in the future as phones get bigger and connections change.
Very well thought out marine digital receiver, user friendly with more power (watts) and clarity than most.
Pros: user friendly with the feel of a very nice piece of marine equipment.
It is great to be able to read the display in direct sunlight on our pontoon. The sound is good and it is easy to use. Great Stereo
Pros: large display, easy to read, easy to use
Cons: none found yet

Effective range measured in a straight line, range will differ depending on placement of the Bluetooth module and obstructions.
Note: The MS-UD650 only supports wireless audio streaming and does not offer any type of wireless hands-free phone communication.
Integrated UNI-Dock: The Fusion MS-UD650's integrated UNI-Dock system allows connection of an extensive range of Apple and supported MSC/MTP-enabled Android and Windows smartphones via USB, while also providing protection for your mobile device from the harsh marine environment.

Playback controls include Music Library Browsing (MTP only), Play/Pause, and Previous/Next Track. Song/artist information such as track, artist, and album name will also be displayed on the head unit. In addition, USB devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the marine receiver's USB port (1A) and the watercraft's ignition switch is set to On.
Note: You cannot use your Android smartphone's touchscreen to control music playback and you cannot select music apps from your smartphone for playback. However, you can continue to listen to stored music on your Android smartphone through the head unit while you check your Calendar, Facebook, Texts, etc on your phone.

Your Android smartphone must be connected via Bluetooth to the MS-UD650 (no hard-wired connection required); your Bluetooth-enabled Android smartphone must have the latest version of the Pandora App from the Android Market. Your Android smartphone must also support A2DP, AVRCP, and SPP Bluetooth profiles. Your iPhone or Android smartphone will need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, or WiFi. In addition, you will need an active Pandora music service account. The Fusion MS-UD650 provides the following control over the Pandora music service streamed to your USB-connected iPhone or Bluetooth-enabled Android smartphone.

SiriusXM Ready: The Fusion MS-UD650 is SiriusXM Ready, so you can listen to commercial-free music, all your favorite sports, exclusive talk and entertainment, comedy, news, traffic, weather, and more. Simply connect the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (220SXV300, sold separately) to the dedicated SiriusXM port on the rear of the head unit and enjoy satellite radio without additional translators or cables. With the SiriusXM Connect tuner you'll have access to more than 175 channels of exclusive programming directly from SiriusXM; check out the most popular SiriusXM subscription packages here. Additional features include:
Note: A separate SiriusXM Satellite Radio subscription is required (operates on the XM Network). However, you can easily add this SiriusXM tuner to an existing Sirius or XM account for a Multi-Radio Discount Plan.
Class D Amplifier: The Fusion MS-UD650 is equipped with a 26 watt RMS (70W Peak) x 4 channel stereo Class D amplifier for driving two pair of full-range marine speakers. Amplifier components are optimally configured for the side-fin aluminum heat sink, producing greater thermal efficiency
3V/3Ch Pre-Outs Per Zone (1-2-3): The Fusion MS-UD650 features 3V/3ch pre-outs for each Zone (1-2-3). Each set of 3ch pre-outs include stereo left/right channels and a mono-sub channel. You can set the head unit's low-pass sub pre-out filter to 55, 85, 120, or 160Hz for the mono-sub channel. You can also adjust the output level of the unit's sub pre-outs independently from the receiver's overall volume control.
Audio Controls: You can adjust the marine receiver's bass, mid, & treble from -12 to +12. You can also balance the sound from left to right. In addition, you can set the head unit's maximum volume limit for all three Zones.
Multi-Zone Technology: The MS-UD650 marine stereo features multi-zone technology which enables three audio Zones with independent volume control from the system's built-in amplifier and pre-outs. Each audio Zone will play the same source, but offers independent volume control of each Zone. You can set the balance, volume limit, subwoofer level, and name for each of the zones. When using the MS-UD650's built-in amplifier, up to two pairs of speakers can be connected per zone in parallel to increase the amplifier output. When using the unit's pre-outs, you will need an additional amplifier in that zone.
Dual Aux Inputs: Fusion's MS-UD650 marine stereo is fitted with a rear-panel 3.5mm input and a rear-panel stereo RCA auxiliary input for connecting external audio devices, other than an iPod/iPhone or Android device. The Aux inputs allow for a wide range of input levels thanks to its adjustable input gain (-9 to +9 dB).
Bulkhead Mount: The MS-UD650 requires a rectangular cutout in the bulkhead for inserting the chassis. The marine receiver has a shallow mounting depth, perfect for space conscious installation on small boats and personal watercraft, where this is especially crucial. Four screws (supplied) fasten the faceplate against the mounting surface, and hold the waterproof gasket against the bulkhead. A paper template is supplied to assist you with the cutout and drilling the screw holes.
Note: The screw holes are spaced 7.6875" (w) x " 2.5625(h) apart.
Hinged Door: Because of its folding-face plate to access the integrated UNI-Dock , there needs to be at least 0.625" of space left below the unit's front-panel and 3.5" of space in front of the front-panel in order to allow the hinged door to open.
Mounting Angle: You can install the unit within 45° of horizontal.

I don't know. However, the ud650 has many issues. These issues are especially present in using as part of a NMEA 2000 network. I paired it with a new Garmin unit. Even though they are the same company, the Garmin and Fusion to not talk well through the network causing constant audio level adjustments. I may be sending mine back if the problem isn't rectified.
