Remote start your vehicle — precool in summer, preheat in winter
Remote start your vehicle — precool in summer, preheat in winter
Choosing the right remote start system and installing it in your vehicle has become a lot simpler and more affordable with this all-in-one Fortin EVO-Series package. The EVO-ONE-NIS2 system includes a digital interface module, which bypasses your vehicle's immobilizer circuits so you can start it without a key, and a T-harness that'll connect the module to your specific vehicle.
Vehicle-specific harness simplifies the installation
While not quite plug-and-play, the harness connections cut down installation time considerably, so you do-it-yourselfers out there can save a little money. Fortin includes a code on the package that you use on their website to download and print detailed, illustrated instructions for your installation. In addition, Crutchfield offers free lifetime tech support, via our toll-free telephone number, to help ensure your remote start installation goes smoothly.
Use your factory remote
You start your vehicle by pressing the lock button on your factory key three times. This system lets you start your car from as far away as the key will lock and unlock your doors. Note: This feature works on most vehicles, but in certain select vehicles, the factory key won't work with this remote start system and an RF kit will be required for installation. Please contact us for more details.
Optional RF remotes increase the range
If you want to be able to start your car from inside your home or office, for instance, you can extend your range by simply plugging in one of these RF remote kits to the interface module.
Fortin RF641W 1-way, 4-button RF remote kit, 1500-foot range ($80)
Fortin RF642W 2-way, 4-button RF remote kit, 2500-foot range ($120)
Each RF kit contains two remote controls, an antenna module, and harness. Both kits let you remotely lock and unlock the doors, pop open the trunk, and perform other functions in addition to starting your engine.
Integrates with your factory security system too
The EVO-ONE-NIS2 also gives you control over your vehicle's factory security system's basic functions like horn-honking, light-flashing, and door-locking, giving you a little peace of mind when you get into your running car.
The EVO-ONE-NIS2 bypass module requires a Fortin FLU-100.2 Flash Link Updater in order to program it to work in your vehicle.
If you know how to use a multimeter and have experience working with your vehicle's electrical system, you should be able to install this remote start system yourself. If not, please consider having your system professionally installed.

Fortin EVO-ONE-NIS2 reviews
I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. It was purchased to be installed in a 2012 Nissan Frontier. After two days of technical support, even the support staff had no idea how to get it to work and could only muster that perhaps it was defective from the factory. I understand parts go bad and sometimes ship DOA from the factory; however, that does not speak highly for quality control, if true. I preface with that contingency only because we ultimately got the unit to respond to lock and un-lock commands, but could never get the remote start to work...when the technical support staff have no other advice to give except to recommend another company's product, I think that sums it up pretty well. Here's my take: I think Fortin has products designed by electrical engineers who never go out in the field and see a product in real-life application, thereby, contributing to the fact that even highly trained technicians could not get a product that was supposed to be plug-and-play to work. In conclusion, I'd say go with a competitor's product, which might involve more labor to hard-wire, but, at least, it will work and you will not spend two days trying this, that, and everything else just to do Fortin's trouble-shooting and create their working installation instructions.
Pros: ha, ha...none
Cons: Please read the aforementioned. There are a lot of cons, to be honest.

The harness made the installation easy. Had to tap in into 5 wires and use 2 diodes. The directions were online and easy to follow. I had issues with part of the installation so I called Crutchfield support and spoke to Oakley who walked me through the install. It turned out my unit was defective so Oakley sent me a new unit and a return shipping label for the defective unit. I installed the new unit and it has been working fine. The reason why I am giving this product 5 stars is because of Oakley from customer support and Crutchfield for standing by their product. I bought this unit in 2016 and didn't get a chance to install it until 2018. After 2 years Crutchfield still gave me free support and replaced the defective product at no cost to me. I have always had excellent support from Crutchfield and I will definitely keep on doing business with them.
Pros: They have people like Oakely in technical support that are very helpful even on a Saturday.

Included with the EVO-ONE module is the THAR-ONE-NIS2 T-Harness for select Chevrolet, Infiniti, Nissan, and Suzuki vehicles. The EVO-ONE and T-harness are designed to greatly shorten the installation time of the remote start/security system in those vehicles by making many of the connections via direct plug-in harnesses.
Note: This is a complex product, and it is recommended that installation is performed by a professional installer or experienced do-it-yourselfer.

EVO-ONE Programming: The included EVO-ONE module is ready to load with the required firmware to bypass the vehicle's immobilizer. The module has three on-board LEDs to simplify the programming and diagnostics of the system.
