Remote start your vehicle — precool in summer, preheat in winter

Choosing the right remote start system and installing it in your vehicle has become a lot simpler and more affordable with this Fortin EVO-Series package. The EVO-ALL system includes a digital interface module, which bypasses your vehicle's immobilizer circuits so you can start it without a key, and the wiring needed to connect it to your vehicle.

Tech support helps

To help you do-it-yourselfers out there who like to save a little money, Fortin includes a code on the package that you use on their website to download and print detailed, illustrated instructions for your installation. In addition, Crutchfield offers free lifetime tech support, via our toll-free telephone number, to help ensure your remote start installation goes smoothly.

Use your factory remote

Once the system's installed, you'll start your vehicle by pressing the lock button on your factory key three times. This system lets you start your car at the same distance from which your key will lock and unlock your doors. This feature works on many newer vehicles, but an RF remote kit may be necessary for yours. Please contact us for more details.

Optional RF remotes increase the range

If you want to be able to start your car from inside your home or office, for instance, you can extend your range by simply plugging in one of these RF remote kits to the interface module.

Fortin RF641W 1-way, 4-button RF remote kit, 1500-foot range ($80)

Fortin RF642W 2-way, 4-button RF remote kit, 2500-foot range ($120)

Each RF kit contains two remote controls, an antenna module, and harness. Both kits let you remotely lock and unlock the doors, pop open the trunk, and perform other functions in addition to starting your engine.

Integrates with your factory security system too

The EVO-ALL also gives you control over your vehicle's factory security system's basic functions like horn-honking, light-flashing, and door-locking, giving you a little peace of mind when you get into your running car.

IMPORTANT:

The EVO-ALL universal bypass module requires a Fortin FLU-100.2 Flash Link Updater in order to program it to work in your vehicle.

If you know how to use a multimeter and have experience working with your vehicle's electrical system, you should be able to install this remote start system yourself. If not, please consider having your system professionally installed.

To ensure vehicle compatibility, please enter your vehicle information. Your order will be reviewed by our Car Experts group, who will contact you if further information or recommended accessories are needed.

Features

Overview: The Fortin EVO-ALL is a universal, all-in-one data bypass and interface module that allows you to add remote start, alarm, keyless entry, and other functions to your vehicle. EVO-ALL supports a total of 5460 vehicles over 47 makes and 584 models, and has built-in software for more than 5000 vehicles.

Note: EVO Combos, containing the EVO-ALL module and T-Harness, are available from Crutchfield for select GM, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Nissan, and Infiniti vehicles.

User Interface: The EVO-ALL offers three different ways to start the vehicle or control the built-in alarm system:

  • Using the OEM remote (possible with most, but not all, factory keyless entry remotes)
  • Working with compatible long-range RF remote kits, such as the RF641W or RF642W.
  • Through compatible smartphone modules (such as Compustar Drone and others).
Note: If the OEM remote does not unlock the doors once the vehicle has been started, you will need to unlock the door with the key. If this is a concern, we suggest adding an optional RF kit (sold separately).

Included Harnesses: The EVO-ALL includes 4 harnesses: a 20-pin General Purpose harness, a 4-wire, 2-way Datalink harness, a 5-pin CAN-Bus harness, and a 6-pin Relay harness. An activation key to WireColor.com is included for a free vehicle wire color diagram.

Is this compatible with a 2017 ford transit e-350?
[ Aimee  Jul 23, 2017 ]

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
does it come with a remote for the key ring? or are they bought separate?
[ stratmaster  Jan 03, 2017 ]

The type of remote used with the EVO-ONE will depend largely on your vehicle. For more details on this installation, please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They can go over all the specifics to ensure you have everything you need to get the job done.

Q
Do you have to purchase a key FOB separately? Or how does it work?
[ Connie  Dec 15, 2016 ]

A
I ended up not buying the Fortin and went with a Viper 2 way remote start
[ Michelle  Dec 16, 2016 ]
A
No key fob needed. Allows you to use factory keyless entry. I used this to add a remote start to my factory system. Works great with the crime stopper system. If you want an extended range, then you will need separate remote.
[ John Dalla  Dec 16, 2016 ]
Q
Will this cut my heat or a on once I start car with remote?
[ Parker  Feb 06, 2016 ]
1 answer
A
Depends on the car obviously. If it is a manual environmental control, then whatever position you left it in last is what it will resume when you start the car. Ie, heat on, it will be on after you start.
[ STEVEN  Feb 06, 2016 ]
Q
Is this plug and play or do you have to splice into harness?
[ Jim  Dec 16, 2015 ]
1 answer
A
Sometimes there are T harnesses that make it a mostly if not completely plug and play installation. You should contact an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to check your vehicle.

Q
What is the difference between a 1-way remote and a 2-way remote?
[ Michael  Nov 22, 2015 ]
1 answer
A
A 1-way remote simply sends commands from a remote to your alarm system. A 2-way remote sends the same commands as a 1-way remote but also receives feedback from the system, usually on an LCD screen, that provides info about commands, vehicle status, alerts, and other convenience factors.
[ Larry  Nov 27, 2015 ]  Staff
Q
Will this work on a manual transmission?
[ AJ  Nov 19, 2015 ]
1 answer
A
Much depends on your specific vehicle application. The EVO-One can work on certain standard transmission models, but they are very specific. For more information and personalized recommendations, contact us directly via Phone: 888-955-6000 or our online chat service: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Chat.aspx I hope that helps!
