Overview: The NETGEAR Nighthawk AX3600 (MK83-100NAS) Tri-band WiFi 6 Mesh system lets you enjoy whole home WiFi designed to deliver smooth video streaming and fast online gaming to more devices at the same time. Using the latest WiFi 6 technology (802.11ax), the AX3600 Mesh system includes a Router and two Satellites, providing ideal coverage for medium to large homes up to 6,700 sq. ft. The Router and Satellites each feature a powerful 1.5GHz quad-core processor, providing high-performance while preventing lag spikes, drop outs, and high ping times for better VR gaming, 4K streaming, web-surfing, and more.

3-Unit Mesh System: The NETGEAR AX3600 includes a Router (MR80), that gets connected to your modem via an Ethernet connection to the Router's WAN port, and two Satellite modules (MS80) that get connected to the Router wirelessly using the WPS/Sync button on each unit. The Satellites can be placed in various locations throughout your home, providing up to 6,700 sq. ft. of wireless coverage.

1.5GHz Quad-Core Processor: The NETGEAR Nighthawk AX3600 Router and Satellite modules each utilize a powerful 1.5GHz quad-core processor to separate processes and prioritize high performance WiFi connections to get maximum combined WiFi speeds of up to 3.6Gbps, with up to 7 streams available.

IPv6: The AX3600 supports Internet Protocol version 6 and can be configured as such.

Tri-Band WiFi: Tri-band WiFi delivers up to 3.6Gbps combined WiFi speeds through 3 dedicated WiFi bands. Each band can operate simultaneously and provide 3 separate streams in the first 5GHz band, 2 separate streams in the second 5GHz band, and 2 streams in the 2.4GHz band. Tri-band WiFi combined with the intelligence to segregate traffic based on WiFi speed provides the best performance for multiple WiFi devices in your home.

Dynamic Quality of Service (QoS): QoS resolves internet traffic congestion when you have competing internet demands at home. QoS identifies your online activities by application and device, then utilizes bandwidth allocation and traffic prioritization techniques to automatically allocate more bandwidth to latency sensitive applications like online gaming and video streaming. This ensures that lower priority applications continue to work.

Smart Connect: Smart Connect automatically selects the fastest WiFi band for your device. For Smart Connect to work, the 2.4GHz and both 5GHz bands must use the same WiFi network name (SSID) and network key (password). That means that when you connect to the router with WiFi, you see only one SSID that connects to both bands.

Beamforming+ (Explicit & Implicit): Beamforming+ boosts speed, reliability, and range of WiFi connections on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Unlike typical WiFi routers that just blast the WiFi signals in all directions; with Beamforming+ (Explicit), the router actively tracks connected devices and directs power to the router antenna closest to the client device. With Beamforming+ (Implicit), the router can use information from client devices that support Implicit Beamforming for even greater WiFi speed, reliability, and range.

Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO): MU-MIMO capability allows you to simultaneously stream up to 3 devices at the same time on one 5GHz band, 2 devices on the second 5GHz band, and 2 devices on the 2.4GHz band. With MU-MIMO, your WiFi network can deliver faster throughput to every MU-MIMO connected device. That means faster downloads and smoother streaming for your devices.

OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access): The Nighthawk dual-band AX3600 uses uplink and downlink OFDMA to direct WiFi traffic much more efficiently, increasing network capacity even when multiple devices are connected to the network. Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) allows data transmission signals to be split into smaller signals which can then be sent directly to individual devices on your network. Because multiple devices can be served in the same transmission window, the router doesn't have to wait for medium access for every data packet. This method of communication increases network speed and efficiency.

Gigabit Ethernet Ports: Four Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports (1 WAN & 3 LAN) on the Router lets you connect wired devices. The WAN port is used to connect your internet modem, while the three LAN ports can be used to connect local network devices using an Ethernet (RJ-45) connection.

VPN: The AX3600 router lets you create a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to securely access your network via the internet when you are not at home. The VPN feature must be enabled on the router and you must install and run VPN client software on the computer you are using to access the network.

WPS/Sync: The 3 included modules (router & satellites) feature a WPS/Sync button for quick and easy linking of each module and your WPS-enabled devices.

Single SSID: The WiFi 6 Mesh system uses a single network name (SSID), providing seamless room-to-room roaming throughout your home.

Security: The NETGEAR WiFi 6 Mesh system features standards-based WiFi security with 802.11i, 128-bit encryption with PSK. Other security features include:

• Guest Network: The AX3600 lets you create a separate and secure access for guests. Guest networks create a completely separate WiFi network for your guests' devices, ensuring they do not have access to your home network or to the shared USB hard drive with all your personal data.

Mounting & Powering: The NETGEAR Router and two Satellites are designed to be placed on a flat-surface. Rubberized feet provide added stability and traction. Each unit (router & satellites) includes its own AC power supply with attached 6' DC power cord (12VDC/2.5A output).

Firmware Updates: The AX3600 lets you use the Router web interface to check for new available firmware and select it to load automatically. You can also manually load any available firmware if desired.
