I have a a few Hue White and Color Ambiance bulbs in my home, and they are so fun to change up depending on my mood. With the Philips Hue Impress outdoor wall light, it's easy to express yourself with colorful light outside the house, too. The square metal and glass fixture has an integrated LED that can display over 16 million colors and 50,000 shades of white light to add some ambiance to your outdoor dining area, front porch, outbuildings, and more.
Requires a base kit or power supply
This wall light requires a base kit that includes a 40-watt power supply, or a 95-watt power supply (both sold separately — see below). Either power supply can also provide current for additional Hue outdoor lights — you'll just need to make sure the total light output wattage remains under 40 or 100 watts.
Control it with the app
To set up the light, you'll need a Philips Hue Bridge (sold separately). Then, you can use the free Hue mobile app to select color and brightness, right from your smartphone. Use it from anywhere — at home, or even when you're not at home — as long as you're connected to the internet.
Automation options
Use the "Home & Away" feature in the app to make your porch light come on automatically when you arrive home. You can also create a warm welcome for yourself and your guests by adding an outdoor motion sensor to trigger the light when people approach.
Voice control
You can control your lighting system hands-free if you've got a voice assistant. The Impress wall light works with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. That means you can turn your lights on or off, dim them, and recall your favorite presets just by asking.

Overview: The Philips Hue Impress Outdoor Wall Light can add color to the outside your home, in the garden or patio, or illuminate an entryway with soft white light. As part of the White and Color Ambiance series the Outdoor Wall Light can produce white light from warm white to cool daylight (2000 to 6500 K) and 16-million colors. Control of the brightness and color requires wireless connection to the Hue Bridge (sold separately, or included in a Hue Starter Kit) and the Philips Hue app. The Outdoor Wall Light is part of the Low-Volt (24V), Plug 'n Play series, and comes with a 5-meter (16.4') power cable and T-connector. It requires a separate Low Voltage power supply, or can be added to other low-volt outdoor lights which include a power supply.
Outdoor Wall Lantern: The Impress Outdoor Wall Light fixture is 4-3/4" x 9-1/2" x 5-9/16" (W x H x D) and weighs just over 3-1/2 pounds. It has a 4-3/4" diameter base, and is made of durable black textured aluminum and tempered glass. The fixture has a rating of IP44, which means the fixture is protected from water splashing from all directions. The fixture features a white translusive lens inside the glass fixture with two 8-watt Wi-Fi controlled LED lights inside (not user replaceable). The light has a 1200-lumen output (at 4000K), yet it only consumes 16 watts of power. The built-in light bulbs have an estimated lifetime of up to 25,000 hours and 50,000 switching cycles.
Installing: Installing the light fixture is relatively easy. After removing the back cover, and plugging in the included low-volt power cable, you can run the power cable to a Philips Hue Outdoor Power Supply which plugs into an outdoor outlet. Optional Low Voltage Cable is available if you need additional length. The Outdoor Wall Light can be mounted to any outdoor wall with two screws. Mounting hardware is not included.
Hue Compatible Products: This Impress Outdoor Wall Light can be controlled with the Philips Hue App (iOS 13.0 or later; Android 8.0 and up), and is compatible with many third party products, including many of the top voice assistants. Hue products work with Apple HomeKit (Siri), Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Cortana by Microsoft. Using simple voice commands, you can turn the lights on and off, dim or brighten the lights, and set a light scene. In addition, other "Friends of Hue" include IFTTT (If This, Then That), Logitech, Nest, Xfinity, and SmartThings.
