About the Memphis Audio 15-PRX1544
Low-frequency thunder
Low-frequency thunder
Memphis Audio built their Power Reference Series subwoofers to bring some low-frequency punch into your vehicle. The 15-PRX1544 15" subwoofer delivers big bass and high output, with a heavy-duty suspension that allows this sub to handle up to 300 watts RMS.
The power of paper
There's a reason that most electric bassists use paper speakers – it sounds warm! Memphis Audio uses a coated paper cone with a double-stitched butyl rubber surround to build a sub that creates classic bass tone while still standing up to the power demands of today's bass-heavy music. The dual 4-ohm voice coils allow you to get maximum output from your mono amp.

Features
Dual Voice Coils: This woofer features dual 4Ω voice coils to offer wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 2Ω load. When the voice coils are wired in series, the woofer presents an 8Ω load.
Rubber Magnet Boot: A black rubber boot covers the outside edge of the magnet structure to improve the cosmetics of the woofer and protect the magnet during installation. The boot is removable if needed for tight installations. (No change in depth, only magnet diameter.)
Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Memphis Audio recommends a sealed enclosure of 3 ft³.
Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. Memphis Audio recommends a ported enclosure of 4 ft³ with a 15-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 17-1/4" slot port, yielding a tuning frequency of 39 Hz.
