These durable subs combine proven technology and materials with rugged design to create subwoofers that will handle high power and keep on kicking.

"Old-school" bass

The BRX1040 10" subwoofer sports a reinforced high-density paper cone that lays down warm, "old school" bass that'll have your vehicle rocking. The double-stitched surround helps this sub handle up to 400 watts RMS, so you can feed it plenty of power. Just add an amp and an enclosure, and you've got the makings of a real bass party.

To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 300 and 600 watts at 4 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

Excellent sub

This sub hits great. Have had a lot of people thinking I have two 10"s instead of one in the back of my extended cab pickup. Very good lows for a 10" and is super fast for rocking out.

Pros: Great lows Fast hitting Fits just about anywhere a shallow mount will.

Cons: Magnet is wider than normal so make sure your box will take it. Not really a con but could cause trouble for some.

Features

Woofer Terminals: The woofer has spring post wire terminals. They will accommodate bare speaker wire up to 10 gauge.

Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Memphis Audio recommends a sealed enclosure of 1.0 ft.

Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. Memphis Audio recommends a ported enclosure of 1.5 ft³ with a 10-1/2" x 1-1/4" x 17-3/4" slot port, yielding a tuning frequency of 38 Hz.

Q
What is the best amp to run two of these to get the most out of them but without coming close to blowing them?

Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.
