Over 100 years of heritage
Over 100 years of heritage
With deep roots in over a century of country-blues and jazz, it's no surprise that Memphis saw the beginnings of modern blues, rock and roll, soul, and alternative rock, and it's no accident that all these styles of music rely on powerful, evocative bass lines. Memphis Audio's MOJO Series subwoofers bring this tradition to life with low end to make your feet move and your spirits soar in a speaker that fits a broad variety of installations.
As tough as Saturday night on Beale
To live up to the Memphis heritage, this MOJO Series 8" sub gives you bass you can feel, handling up to 900 watts of RMS power so your system will definitely get noticed. Its fiberglass-reinforced cone and stitched foam surround are backed up by a cast aluminum basket so it's made to handle high volume levels, while its Direct Vent Voice Coil (DVVC) design and aluminum heat sink keep the voice coil running cool when the music's running hot.
With a mounting depth of only 5-3/4", this sub works in very compact enclosures to bring Memphis Audio's powerful bass sound to today's vehicles. Its dual voice coil design lets you adapt it to a variety of systems. When you're ready to feel what 100 years of musical heritage can do for your bottom end and your bottom line, the MOJO Series subwoofers will show you that the best history is yet to come.

Features
Dual Voice Coils: This woofer features two 2Ω voice coils, allowing wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 1Ω load. When the voice coils are wired in series, the woofer presents a 4Ω load.
Terminals: The two sets of spring post terminals are on opposite sides of the subwoofer. They will accommodate bare speaker wire up to 10 gauge. They will also accommodate many single banana plugs, but the post is slightly recessed, so some single banana plugs will not fit well.
Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Memphis Audio recommends a sealed enclosure of 0.6 ft³.
Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from a given amount of power. Memphis Audio recommends a ported enclosure of 1.0 ft³ with a 3½" diameter x 16" long port, yielding a tuning frequency of 39 Hz.
