Plenty of entertainment options

Use the built-in Bluetooth® to stream music from your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device. If you want to enjoy your own music collection, you can also plug a music player into the rear aux input or pop a thumb drive into the rear USB port.

You can also tune into local radio using the AM/FM tuner. And if you're planning to add an amp to your system, you'll appreciate the rear-mounted 4-channel preamp outputs.

Smart engineering makes a difference

The rotary volume knob isn't just a retro touch—it's a thoroughly practical detail that really makes sense in rough water or on the trail — especially when you're wearing gloves. The big LED display gives you the info you need, while the watertight, UV-resistant face and easy-to-use controls will stand up to the rigors of marine use.

5 questions already asked

Can 2 wired remotes be connected and used for 1 main unit? (i.e.on boat bow and stern ?) If so is wiring splitter available or would splicing have to be done???
[ Jay  Apr 26, 2017 ]

According to our research, it appears that only 1 Memphis Audio MXA1MCR remote can be used with the 16-MXA1MC digital media receiver. I wish I had better news for you, but if you would like to discuss further feel free to reach out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

Is the "Aux Preamp" used for a sub?
[ mark  Jun 06, 2016 ]
1 answer
The unit offers an auxiliary audio input for connecting external sources to be heard through the system. It also offers two pairs of RCA pre-amp outputs for providing signal to an external amplifier. So, yes, you can use either set of pre-outs to provide signal to an external amp that will power a subwoofer (or, directly to a powered sub). You will find this information, and more, by clicking the "Details" tab on the receiver's main webpage and scrolling down below the "Features & Specs" table. I hope that helps. My Bio:

[ Douglas  Jul 08, 2016 ]
Yes. The Memphis has a remote turn-on lead in it's wiring harness for triggering external amplifiers on/off with the stereo. I hope that helps! My Bio:
