Crossover: Because these speakers include no crossovers, and have a limited frequency response (221-12,000 Hz), an external crossover should be used. Bass Blocker crossovers are listed under the accessory tab (item numbers 007BB300 and 007BB600, both sold separately.)

Q
what size tweeter fit in front door 03 buick century?
tyree  Apr 07, 2021
1 answer
A
The tweeter needs to have a frame that is no bigger than 1.4" to fit back into the factory location. We have advisors that can be reached by calling 1-800-324-9695 who are happy discuss all your goals and preferences to give you a personal recommendation on new tweeters

Have a '17 Toyota 4Runner non-JBL with navigation and am doing strictly a speaker upgrade. I installing Polk DB 522 5.25" in rear doors and hatch and Kicker 44KSC6904 6x9's front doors. Considering these PRX27s (or the Kenwood KFC-X2Cs). Are these recommended, mounting difficulty, wiring/soldering required?? Ime scurred, hep me hep me.

The KFC-X2Cs are great little speakers. My installation was easy because they fit the factory dash location. They will need to be soldered or spliced into your existing wiring.

I have a 17 Tacoma they were pretty easy to install and boy do they make a difference. No soldering needed they fit right in and use the provided adapters for the speaker wire and your golden.

It won't fit directly. The screw hole diameters are different. What I did was using one screw (no bass no vibration so you'll fine) and also used the Prius original midrange connectors to install these. They sound fantastic and produce very detailed high. Easy installation

Q
how many ohms?
phillip  Jun 09, 2018

Q
My factory speakers/tweeter have a crossover do i need one for this?
miguel  Jun 08, 2018
3 answers
A
You don't need one for this. However if your factory speaker is run to the crossover it would be hooked to it as well. Do you have tweeters!? In my opinion don't just upgrade one pair of speakers. The sound is just off to me. I'd upgrade them all. Which of you have tweeters you'd upgrade those as well and they would come with new crossovers. In my opinion aftermarket audio is always better than factory. Even the "premium factory audio" has cost cutting measures employed to maximize profits.

I re used the resistors that came on the factory speaker's in my 2015 wrx. But i would atleast use bass blockers on them if you cant re-use the factory ones

Q
What size of capacitor do you need for them ?
fresno rob  May 07, 2018

Easy enough to remove the factory wiring harness and bass blocker to add to this speaker. 10 min with a soldering iron and you're set.
roger  Mar 24, 2019
A
I used 150hz bass blockers and they sound amazing
russell  May 23, 2018

I did not use a capacitor. Are you intending on using a bass blocking capacitor? These speakers, at lEast on my vehicle are configured for vocals for the voice navigation and hands free calling feature. So no heavy notes would likely pass through them.
drew  May 07, 2018

I used PAC BB-600A2 Bass Blockers 1 pair with Terminals, 600hz/4ohm Item #127BB600A2. Work great with the Memphis Audio PRX27 in the dash locations on my 2010 Nissan Frontier.

Q
What is the impedance rating of these speakers?
matt  Mar 08, 2018
3 answers
A
4 ohms
rafael  Mar 14, 2018
A
Just assuming here. I am not a tech. However, most speakers for your mids and highs are 4-ohm load. Impendence really matters when your adding subs.
luis  Mar 14, 2018
A
While I don't have the booklet to see, I believe these speakers are 4 Ohm, and only about 15 watt rated. I would not put these on an aftermarket amp, but instead attempt to run them from a factory, or updated dash head unit.

Q
Will this fit in the Mustang 94-04 mach 460 front tweeter location? it seems to be a similar size.

Yes they are the same size
russell  May 23, 2018
A
These speakers did not fit exactly to size in 2014 Silverado because of the screw location on the speaker itself, but I was able to mount them without a problem.
