Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've never had a set of component speakers with an external mounted crossover before. I really wasn't sure what to expect.. I ordered front and rear speakers for my Escort, both with dual crossovers and dual tweeters. And I already had a 12 inch Memphis sub to compliment these new speakers. So, even on my old Sony deck that has been well used for nearly 10 years, these bad boys made it sound like it was new! Clear sound, and because the dual stage crossover, they do pack a punch for a 5 inch speaker! And my rears are only a 5x7. And not to mention the installation was easy. Even though I am the type to go above and beyond on things like this, it was very easy and a no brainer to figure out. I just spent more money than I would like to admit on my other car for a bunch of stereo upgrades.. including new speakers.. I'm probably going to change those out again to these Memphis component speakers. Love em!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Theses speakers are awesome. They sound great in my tahoe, were east to install, and showed up on time. I have always been a fan of Memphis audio but for this being a low level component speaker thedy are incredible. The range of frequency is huge and they have a little bit of a kick to them even without an amplifier

Pros: Great sounding, compact, easy to mount.

Cons: Needed 3 holes to be poked through the interior of the door for proper mounting. But that is the only issue (not tough at all)

Features

Tweeter Mounting: The tweeters offer multiple mounting options; choose a flush mount, surface mount, or angled surface mount. The tweeters are shipped in the flush mount housings and the angled surface mount housings are included. The back of the flush mount housing and the top of the angled surface mount housing combine to create the (non-angled) surface mount housing. Once installed in any of the housings, the tweeter will pivot slightly to optimize imaging.

Crossover: The crossover's inputs and outputs are screw terminals that will accept bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.315" wide.

Why did you buy this?

Awesome ratings and cheaper than anywhere else I could find [ Bryce  Jul 30, 2018 ]
Great?? [ Raymond  Mar 15, 2018 ]
These speakers come well recommended, and it appears they will easily install in my 1992 911 Porsche to give it better sound than the factory speakers. [ Guest  Jun 18, 2017 ]

3 questions already asked

No you do not you can use an amp but you don't need it for them to work [ Christopher R.  Oct 23, 2017 ]
These speakers could run off of the built in amplifier from an aftermarket head unit, but you would be better served using a separate amplifier dedicated for the door speakers themselves. [ Christopher  Oct 23, 2017 ]
No, you can hook it into any system. But it will sound best with more wattage than a standard receiver will supply [ Levi david  Oct 23, 2017 ]
No, but for the best possible sound it couldn't hurt. I have mine running off the stock bose amp in the car and it only pushes 25 watts per along with the other 27 watts from the deck. They sound amazing. [ Broderick  Oct 23, 2017 ]
