Features

Tweeter Mounting: The tweeters offer multiple mounting options; choose a flush mount, surface mount, or angled surface mount. The tweeters are shipped in the flush mount housings and the angled surface mount housings are included. The back of the flush mount housing and the top of the angled surface mount housing combine to create the (non-angled) surface mount housing. Once installed in any of the housings, the tweeter will pivot slightly to optimize imaging.

Crossover: The crossover's inputs and outputs are screw terminals that will accept bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.315" wide.

The reported frequency response range of 94-20kHz seems narrow compared to competitors, i.e., 94 is higher. Is this just the range for the 5 1/4 or does it include the range of the tweeters? You'd think separate component tweeters would really extend the range for a quality company's speakers. But I can't find a separate response frequency for those.

That is the total frequency response for this component set. This set and most component sets focus primarily on the mids and highs. For more bass you'd really want to consider a subwoofer as most full range speakers don't produce a ton of bass.

Welll there buddy. These banging little speakers sound crisp and real dang clean compared to the 600+$ focals that were in my truck before. They're 50RMS and 100 at they're max. I run them on a 125×2 kicker amp along side a Memphis 300 watt amp feeding the DD 8 I have. I could not be happier with the sound. I do need one more set for the back doors and going to add another sub. And I will be going with the Memphis PR'S????????????

Not sure about your mustang but they do come with multiple backings and can be completely removed from there casing without damaging. Can you post a picture of your current tweeters ?

Installed speakers in a 2013 ram 3500 Laramie long horn with premium sound system attached to factory supplied amp speakers are clean in sound but volume is far from where I would like it and there is all but no base coming from them is this not a good choice for this application factory speakers at this point which were 6x9 sounded way better. will amplifying these speakers with a external amp bring them to life or should I return and try something else please advise?

What are the best 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 components to match with a jl audio 400x 4 amp 100 x 4 at 2 oms or 70 x 4 at 4 ohms or 200 x 2 bridges at 4 ohms?

No you do not you can use an amp but you don't need it for them to work

These speakers could run off of the built in amplifier from an aftermarket head unit, but you would be better served using a separate amplifier dedicated for the door speakers themselves.

No, you can hook it into any system. But it will sound best with more wattage than a standard receiver will supply

No, but for the best possible sound it couldn't hurt. I have mine running off the stock bose amp in the car and it only pushes 25 watts per along with the other 27 watts from the deck. They sound amazing.
