Easy to set up, easy to love

This Power Reference Series subwoofer is built to dish it out and take it. Its treated paper cone and double-stitched butyl rubber surround pump out the lows with toughness and precision. Improvements to the coil and suspension design give you even more of that great Memphis sound. Selectable Impedance Technology allows you to select 2- or 4-ohm impedance using the included color-coded jumpers, making adjustments dead easy and giving you a wide range of installation and system options.

Do you hear a rumble in the distance? That's the bass you've been waiting for on its way to you from Memphis Audio.

Features

Selectable Impedance: On the opposite side of the basket from the input terminals, there are four "shorting" terminals. Depending on how the included jumper wires are connected to these shorting terminals, the input terminals present either a 2Ω or 4Ω load. The power handling is the same for either setting: 150 watts RMS/300 watts peak.

Rubber Magnet Boot: A black rubber boot covers the outside edge of the magnet structure to improve the cosmetics of the woofer and protect the magnet during installation. The boot is removable if needed for tight installations. (Slight change in depth and magnet diameter.)

Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Memphis Audio recommends a sealed enclosure of 0.35 ft³.

Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from a given amount of power. Memphis Audio recommends a ported enclosure of 0.5 ft³ with a 2" diameter x 8¾" long port, yielding a tuning frequency of 47 Hz.

Thiele Small Parameters: Some specs change depending on the impedance:

Greetings Vince, and thank you for your question. Yes you can parallel wire two of those Memphis PRX624. The jumper terminals are to select either a 4ohm, or 2ohm resistance. Depending on you wanting your amp to see a 1 ohm or a 2 ohm load with two of these parallel wired.
