Sturdy as a tank

Upgraded from Pangea's Vulcan audio rack. It just became too flimsy for all the weight (185lbs total) I added going to a separate prepro plus two large amps. This unit however is built like a tank! Easier to assemble than even the Vulcan. No tools and required less than 30 min. I originally ordered the S3-4 and then added custom height tubes and the extra 5th shelf. This allowed me to have at least 9 inches between shelves for heat dissipation. The feet are very sturdy, but I opted to not use those add on spiked feet. I'm always upgrading and tinkering which requires needing access to the back. So I found replacement casters instead. It just requires a M8 thread (15mm thread height) for the casters. I'm very pleased with the final product. And I can always add shelves and customize shelf heights as my system changes.

Pros: Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Customizable in the future.

Cons: None really.

I enjoyed the understated elegance and solid construction. The design helps draw attention to the A/V components, not the rack itself, which is what I want. The packaging is first rate, but the instructions for assembly are a bit vague; it offers no words, just diagrams, yet not as straightforward as IKEA furniture.

Pros: Solid construction; simple yet refined styling

Cons: Minimalist assembly instructions

Plenty of space for a bunch of components and a turntable on top! No issues with assembly. Due to the modular design of this rack, you can always take away a shelve or two if the 5 shelves proves to be too much. Highly recommended if you don't have the time or energy to build you own rack. Just wish they had the floor protectors available at the same time.

This is a very well constructed and relatively easy to put together stand. I recommend it for those that are serious about a stable stereo and vibration free stand.

Pros: Excellent product

Cons: A little heavy
